141Hello Captains! Welcome to Priority One’s 141th episode, recorded on Thursday,  September 12th, 2013 and published on Monday, September 16th, 2013 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!

James returns this week to re-join Tony and Elijah for another jam-packed episode of Priority One Podcast!

This week, Elijah Treks Out DragonCon with Ell, Vinny (thefartheststar.net), and Adorpheus (adorpheus.com). From the sounds of it, it looks like he’ll be there next year!!

In STONews this week,  a few changes have been made to the new Fleet Security System in Legacy of Romulus Dev Blog #41. There’s also a whole lot of ship talk with the release of the new Romulan Tactical Warbirds in Legacy of Romulus Dev Blogs #42 and #43. The boys also have a great debate about the difference between Bugs & Balance, and how best to address those issues to Cryptic.  In this episode’s Community Spotlight, Chivalrybean continues his Foundry Review with a mission titled, ” A Will and a Barkley.” As always, towards the end of the episode, we’ll open hailing frequencies and listen to your incoming messages.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mark “h2orat” Valentine. He was a respected artist who brought passion and commitment to Star Trek Online and its community. For more information on how you can pay your respects, please visit: http://www.gofundme.com/valentine.

Topics Discussed:

This week’s Community Questions:

  • What balance issues are you experiencing in-game that might be causing a poor game experience?
  • What end-game content are you looking forward to most in Season 8? Do you want more missions like the No Win Scenario?

We are Live on TrekRadio.net every Thursday at 10pm ET / 7pm PT! If you’d like to join us live, during the show, Trek Radio has a built in IRC Chat client. Just click on the Community menu tab and select IRC Chat – input your desired screen name and enter!

Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

I don’t really have a preference for what kind of endgame content they implement, but what I DON’T want is 5 hour long raids like in WoW clones. No, thanks. Also, the reputation grind is kind of boring.

Always enjoy listening to you guys. I understand your take on the Romulan Tac Warbirds but I like them, mostly because of the Plasma Beam and now the hangar. While the weapons probably could deal more damage (I have fleet level Plasma cannons alongside them), I have to say the payoff, for me, is when I am in an STF and I use the Plasma cannon on a borg ship and watch the hull strength plummet. Nerd-crack!

I do want to join the bandwagon that the Fed Ships need some love. The Galaxy X Dreadnaught is anything but. Would love to fly that around if it had more punch but it always frustrates me.

Nothing to contribute here, just thanks a lot guys.

I agree with the bodaciously awesome poster above.

However I would like also like to see more pvp maps.

I’d love to see a ground version of the No-Win. On ground it would take more of a balanced team too since a group of 5 tacs wouldn’t last too long. It could be fantastic for sure

They need a way to convert marks into dil for endgame. Any new missions are always appreciated.

Loved the show everyone, good job.

How about tagging more wildlife on New Romulas for combat pets?

Maybe the dog thing with the spikes on its head/body.

  13. @Sherman on 2013-09-16

How about a ground version of the no win?

Like in the Romulan tutorial you have that Elachi ship parked over the map.

Make it so we need to Defend X npc from Y faction for 10 waves.

Normally I post something, but this time I just want to take a moment and tell you all that I appreciate your taking the time to make the podcasts and I really enjoy them.
As for Dragon-con, that may be a great idea. My wife and I would probably love it, and it’s only about 6 or 7 hours from where we live… We’d never be able to do Las Vegas… so here’s to hoping for Dragon-Con 🙂
