I did say something about on the Facebook help Captain Gecko out question, but wanting to take it a bit further here after I finally got chance to listen to the show.

There was something that was never mentioned in the interview, that is the R & D material. It might be also the case of playing the particular missions to make it easier to get the material for the particular upgrades. Sure there are other ways to get it mow with the admiralty system and the research lab, but it takes time to get it and when it helps to get the things quicker when it is upgraded, you want it sooner than later.

So it might be a strong factor of why ISA for Eng upgrades, CCA for weapon upgrades etc. are so popular too.

Yes, Tim Tams are from Australia and yes, I be bringing some over with me for STLV. If I give a pack to you guys is yet to be determined. 😛

I’m going to wait and see, because I’m hoping it will come to Playstation Vue.

More of a hope then a prediction. I think we will get a T6 Constitution class, and maybe a redesign, or game model updates and improvements. and I think it will be a prize for a event.

I would love a rotation, I’m a casual player but I like to get the reps and would like to play varied queues as opposed to the same few.

Great show guys, loved the interview and the Astrometrics report!

    Now back to making comics!

    2) As far as Season 11.5 teasers go, that one felt very ‘non-Cryptic’. *rimshot* What you see is what you get: time travel plots, fights against Na’kuhl ships, nothing really unexpected. As far as “5.5.16” goes, my best bet is a Featured Episode where more time travel is certainly involved, we go and save the U.S.S. Enterprise (“No bloody A, B, C, or D!!”) from destruction from certain temporal enemies, and maybe there’s a VO from someone who’s been in one of the Trek series. Shatner VO, Tier 6 Connies, new Expansion announcements…all would be awesome, but those seem like wildly wishful thinking.

    3) I outlined this last time, but the best option I can think of for bringing interest back to more queues is a Featured Daily Bonus Reward rotation. Each of the queues gets their day as the MOST rewarding queue (in terms of marks & dilithium per time spent) in the game, so that the ‘raid farmers’ (i.e. the most reliable/frequent group of PvE queue runners) will flock to where the rewards are. I get the whole “choice overload” argument but removing queues, even on a temporary or rotational basis, still sounds like the wrong answer to the problem. Just put the featured queues with the bonus rewards at the top of the PvE menu, and players will go to them easily enough.

    (1) I tried All Access when it first came out… and I cancelled my free trial within 5 minutes of signing up. From a technical perspective, the app was horrible. Add the fact that it is a subscription service with commercials, and I’m not optimistic about its potential. While the Star Trek series won’t be on any other “streaming” services, I’m really hoping it will be sold on iTunes.

    (2) Based on the trailer, given that we see scenes from previous missions (The Vault, The Lost City of Paradise, Time and Tide), I think season 11.5 might have us revisiting previous missions. Consider this: our character is a main influence in the STO universe and have been there for all the crucial moments. So it is possible that the Na’Kuhl would want to stop our successes in order to to stop us. Perhaps they travel back along our timeline and we have to go back to stop them. From a game perspective, it is probably more cost efficient because all those maps have already been done. As a result we might get more missions for the 50th, including special ones like whatever the Enterprise was hinting towards.

    (3) No idea. Rotating which queues have added incentives probably works best, or at least would bother people the least.

    Wonderful show everyone.

    1)No, i will wait.
    2)No idea.
3)Detach missions from specific marks. Some missions are fun, but do you really want those type of marks?

    “Bring everybody together.”
Does that mean cross faction team finally coming?

My suggestion has always been always been the option of a random space or ground queue. The first random queue you do you get a choice big box of choice marks. crafting mats and maybe fleet or reputation dilithium vouchers. After that you get a mid size bonus box.

I think you did miss some tidbits in the 11.5 trailer 🙂

First of all, on the recent tribble patch. Pressing ctrl-x during the patch process brings up a list of all the files its downloading – assets, maps, textures, that sort of things. Many of us in the P1 teamspeak were patching simultaneously, and many of us noticed many new “Kirk” labelled assets, including a large voiceover file.

Secondly, the TOS enterprise at the end of the trailer is orbiting Earth – you can clearly see the outline of Europe and North Africa.

Lastly, and for me, this is the big one. The 5-5-16 date at the end…. is in TOS Command Gold
