128Hello Captains and welcome to Priority One’s 128th episode, recorded on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 and published on Monday, May 20th, 2013 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!!!

We have a big show for you today folks, and it’s not one to be missed! Elijah, James and Tony are joined today by none other than the beautiful and talented Denise Crosby, best known for her roles as Tasha Yar and Empress Sela on Star Trek: The Next Generation and now reprising her roles, lending her supreme vocal talents to Star Trek Online. As if that wasn’t enough, we also cover a US District Court judge taking file-sharing jurisprudence where it has never gone before in Trek It Out. In STO News, the first expansion (Legacy of Romulus) will go live on Tuesday, May 21st and PriorityOne is here to make sure you’re ready for the big event. As always, towards the end of the show, we’ll open Hailing Frequencies and review your incoming messages!

Elijah

Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Just when I think I could not possibly love Denise more. Awesome interview.

  2. Woody_Valley on 2013-05-21

That was a great interview with Denise, really did come out in a very open sort of way.

Oh and Elijah, there will always be Foster’s available. Just need to drink it responsibly until you can get the Vulcan Ale.

  3. Eklinaar on 2013-05-20

I hope Denise Crosby is the first of many TNG stars to do voiceovers for STO.

  4. Jolanar on 2013-05-20

I’ll be taking an Offense/Defense stance. Fleet Dhelan with 5 tac consoles and the defensive stuff it and it’s refit comes with most likely.

Another great Ep guys and nice to have you all here! Can not wait for LoR to go live as i cant bring myself to play Holodeck at the moment. Most importantly, thanks for a great interview with the beautiful, talented and caring Denise Crosby! Was lovely hearing her share the stories.

Awesome interview of Ms. Crosby, great show in general everyone.

Honestly, I love the Romulans. Heck, I used to play them exclusively back in the CCG days when Decipher made the ST CCG.
But, after playing around with them, I just can’t come to the though of grinding out a new end game toon for STO. I’ve spent 2 years getting my Fed where he is. Just the though of having to grind out the Rep again gives me a Migraine.
Oh well, I’ll keep on enjoying my Fed Toon, but secretly always have a Romulan heart 😉

The good thing with starting afresh, though, is that you’ll be able to do the rep whilst levelling, rather than trying to play 50 levels of catch-up 🙂

      • Towani on 2013-05-20

Interesting… didn’t think of it that way. That was the biggest killer is that at lvl 50, it was all of it just to grind. None of that helped to level… so maybe it wouldn’t be as bad starting fresh.

        • Lennon on 2013-05-21

Ooooh, according to the patch notes, I lied!

          * The Reputation system unlocks at level 50.

  8. James on 2013-05-20

Given Denise’s intent for Tasha and Sela I think Star Trek Nemesis would have been 100% better if it had been Sela instead of a Picard clone.

  9. Yuchen@vonohzu on 2013-05-20

Brave of Cryptic reminding people of the bad Trek movies with Remen, Regent Class, now they are taking on Nimbus, and planning on introducing Scimitar?
Also can you put the classic T’liss skin on Fleet T’varo?.

  10. beyondallpercents on 2013-05-20

Awesome, Denise (much like other Trek Women) is incredible!
