I was kind of taken aback by the comment about F2P and the Tribble server. While I am sure that traffic on Hologram goes down a bit, the inference that those of us that are on the game as F2P don’t think that the games means enough to us to financially support it is off base. MANY of us support by buying zen, I know that I am a F2P player that spends between 50 and 100 a month in zen (then I buy keys or ship with the zen).
Just because I don’t give Cryptic a monthly fee of $14.95 that does not mean that I don’t see value in the game or spend money in the game.
One would think that the hosts of this program would be able to choose how they try to make points in a way that does not alienate a sizable chunk of the players.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you felt alienated. The truth is our guest presented an argument backed by legitimate statistics — it wasn’t conjecture. More importantly, the discussion was not about financial support from F2P-ers; but that players (as a whole) are less likely to replay missions when Beta testing.
As a matter of fact, we choose — weekly — how we make points and have welcomed feedback from our listeners. As a matter of fact, we frequently invite players from all shapes, sizes, and play-styles to join us on the show and offer their unique expertise in STO.
Thanks for listening!

I really like the proposed reputation changes. I certainly skip MK X stuff in favor of saving up for the MK XII stuff. Getting the X – XI stuff as rewards for doing the rep project sounds like a great idea.

A truly splendiferous example of the spoken word entertainment artform. Thanks to Chivalrybean on his latest review.

You have done all us Silver users a favour, by not being able to go into tribble, we do not have to do it all again. Which makes it feel like a chore. So I am all for gold users going in and wasting time, and getting bored quicker. However I was never a fan of Dino-bots…

I cant believe you wasted half the interview on your personal fight to get a mark conversion system what a waste of time.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your feedback. There is more of the interview to be released later in the week which will hopefully satisfy your craving for more information, so keep an eye out for it!

Any bets on what the new ship tied to the FE will be?
DaUnknownAdmin on 2013-10-21
Great Interview!
My thoughts…
I would say 5 plays over 30 days, says more about the content then player preference. It appears apparent that its Time to revamp some of those missions. I’m doubtful that simply throwing extra marks is the answer.
Additionally, When players have 3, soon to be 4 separate REP Grinds with 20 hour cooldowns, time then becomes an issue and therefore seeking “the path of least resistance” inevitably becomes the next logical step.

Lol its a trek game for fans so there must be a balance inbetween ground and space missions what make s a good trek game.

I believe that it may tie into the breen featured episode. You never do learn what the mysterious predecessors really are.

I like the reasons im hearing, but my big question is when will KDF get more love?

The new Voth stuff looks cool, but honestly, I love this game for the space, not the ground combat. To me, it’s still just clunky. Space feels right, but ground feels like I’m playing an old N64 game. To me, space and ground is night and day difference. All this to say I look forward to S8, but unless the ground ‘feel’ has been worked on, I foresee only playing around with the space part of it.
