Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

I have a good Idea for a new BOFF skill since there will be a new upcoming level cap. “Close Emergency Bulk Heads” also it is cannon and that is a always good I feel it was used allot after getting hit with phaser or a torpedo during battle in ENT. But it was used -before- battle in VOY Janeway said it in a early episode before battle. the idea of it being used before and after battle. Seem that that would open it up to flexibility as a engineering skill 🙂 Sometimes so silly skills that are made up get created in STO allot of people dont like that

I love the romulan ships. I will me an engineer flying a D’ridthau Warbird Battle Cruiser. I will not be a romulan but a reman,I think the remans are a great race. I think shows like the Big bang theory makes nerds look cool and having star trek stars like Will Wheaton being Sheldon’s enemy is funny.

As much as I give it flack for slow turn rate, being the DS9 fan I am I’d probably go for the ship that represented the Star Empire during Dominion War if I were to play Romulan. Give the D’deridex a EPtAux & Aux to Battery combo and you’ve got enough boff seating for a triple threat that’s good at Tactical, Engineering, and Science (assuming there’s no typo in the Dev Blog).

Mogai!!!!! The Valdore Warbird has been my favorite Romulan ship since Nemesis

I’m going for the D’Deridex, myself. Not only is it a TNG classic, but it also has a sweet tactical cruiser layout which, combined with the singularity powers, should make for very interesting gameplay.

As for geekiness, I watched TNG when I was growing up, I started playing video games (starting with the Atari and NES) as soon as I could walk, and my older brother taught me to play D&D. I’ve always been a geek. I don’t watch current television and I don’t follow popular geek podcasts like Geek and Sundry. I don’t care if I’m the only person in the world who likes the things I like or if everyone likes them. I’m gonna keep pursuing my favorite hobbies regardless of what anyone else thinks of them, because I love them and that’s all that matters.
