Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Going off of Botet’s tease of an “old creature” from Trek, which I’m choosing to mean that it’s something from TOS, my bet is on *drumroll please*…’Howard the Hungry Horta’!

Complete with his weird, crusty pizza-like skin texture and penchant for dissolving most kinds of rocks and minerals just by sliding over them, ‘Howard the Hungry Horta’ HAS to be the most interesting role that a creature actor like Javier Botet could hope for, right? 😀

Other options could include the Mugato/’Space Gorilla’ (http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Mugato), the ‘Salt Vampire’ (http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/M-113_creature), maybeeee one of those alien dog things (http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Unnamed_non-humanoids_(23rd_century)#Canine_001). (Though that’s really just a regular dog with a cone on its head, so maybe not.)

Hi guys. Another great podcast knocked entirely out of the park: Awesomes!

I’m still mostly running Mk XII [Very Rare] gear with a few bits of [Rare] popping up here or there, depending on my toon’s completion levels, but I’m not having any issues keeping up with Advanced ‘Tee-Eff-Oh’s, on console at any rate. So looking forward to the Random TFO’s hitting xBox though! I really want to get playing some of those TFO’s I don’t get to play normally (TBH, on Console, with my odd shift patterns at work, that means most of them).

Oh yeah! I got my frickin Dinosaur with Lazers attached to its freaking head today! I’ve named him ‘Gecko the Second’ in honour of Al.

It’s good to know that the tutorial bug is fixed, though they’ve said that before… fingers crossed I don’t have to get in touch cause I’ve got stuckerified with my AoD toon… I certainly have no problems with the mission being a copypasta though, it’s just frustrating that the bugs got copied across too.

And lastly! I am really hoping Javier Botet will be playing the Red Angel, aka: the Iconian T’Ket. Somebody shared a comparison pic of them on the FB STO player group the other day and just thought ‘YES!’ because apparently I’m not the only one and it would be so /c/r/a/z/y/ cool if Disco were to pick up something from STO and reciprocate the love!

    Peace, love and lay-zor beams!

P.S. I’m glad I listen to these on Night Shifts now, in an otherwise empty office, in a stand-alone building, away from the rest of the world… I don’t have to explain what a Talosian is or why one’d breakdance, or why I’m having an asthma attack from laughing so hard. I’m sure Elio’s cosplay will be amazeballs, but I’m going to need a weeks notice to make sure I have enough ventolin!
