This week, Star Trek Discovery earns a spot on the list of the top shows of 2018 (so far), the Space channel in Canada is in hot water over Disco’s profanity, CBS All Access expands north of the border, and baby Spock is slated to make an appearance in Discovery season 2.

In Star Trek Online news, we’ve got a preview of this weekend’s events in game, and later we talk to content designer Tiffany Chu about her work on the featured episode The Renegade’s Regret.

And of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we’ll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages.

He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Thank you for the wonderful show (as always).
I don’t mind them having a younger Spock on the show, either in flashbacks or in the real show. The Discovery novels have shown that those responsible for the content and the continuity between Discovery and TOS know what they are doing.

I’m very interested to see how Mr. Frakes and the Discovery team handle a young Spock. Each new revelation of characters we’ve known for over 50 years enriches the universe of Trek we’ve come to know and love.

Now, are we talking ‘Young Spock’ or ‘Baby Spock’? ‘Cuz the former sounds like that one spinoff show on the CBS. Kid Spock already showed up in an episode of The Animated Series, so it’s not uncharted ground. Though I’ve gotta wonder how watching Kid Burnham and Spock suppressing their emotions and acting logical could be made into riveting television.

Meanwhile…Young Spock: Coming soon to CBS All Access! *not really* 🙂

I find the young Spock appearance to be highly……logical. After all we are still fleshing out parts of an already iconic and loveable character. Live long and prosper Mr Nimoy.
