A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns.     …Who? (*looks at article link on Anson Mount*) Oh, the silent guy from Marvel’s Inhumans! (The show that Disney and Marvel would like to quietly forget. :p ) Well, he certainly looks like original Pike, so that can’t hurt. Don’t know anything else about him, so I have no reason to think he’ll be BAD. Guess we’ll just wait and see.

    On the space hotel thing, yeah $9.5 million sounds like a LOT (much more than most of us have anyways), but IIRC it’s still cheaper than the current $20+ million way, which gets you a ride on a 50-year old Soviet rocket, up to the cramped ISS full of other astronauts already, who have their own jobs to do, no ‘holodeck’ room for some zero-g R&R…compared to that, the price of a trip to your very own dedicated space hotel suite sounds like a bargain.

    Well our casting decision for Pike should be interesting. Lets see what he’s got for the role. I’m always willing to give actors a chance to play iconic roles.
