Great show guys!
So STO season 14 wasn’t bad. The mission was good but i can not help but feel that (spoilers) that some “bugs” are right out of Mass effect (Cough, Rachni, Cough).
But I am really loving Star trek Timelines. the changes have made it a really good game. I wasnt a great game but i still went with it but now the the accolade rewards and the new Voyagers changes I have to say its a enjoyable and awesome game with things alot more in reach to Free-2-Play players (or ones like me that use the monthly card).

So Lorca has the means to transport us anywhere we want to go in the galaxy instantaneously, on the power of ‘shrooms’? O_o I think that exists already. :p
–Unused Trek Stories–
I really can’t think of any of those discarded story pitches that I’ve heard over the years that I’d absolutely need to see on TV. I mean, most of the good ideas were molded into other episodes anyways (ex: I think the assisted suicide plot came up in at least one of the shows, and Data’s emotional struggles come up, albeit poorly, in Generations), and the rest…well, it’s best that those stay forgotten.
The one idea that I *might* want to see in Star Trek Online is a story idea originally for Enterprise: William Shatner reprising his role as Mirror Kirk. 🙂 Basically, following the events of “Mirror, Mirror”, Mirror Spock begins his journey to rule and reform the Terran Empire by using the Tantalus Field on Mirror Kirk, supposedly killing him. However, what the device ACTUALLY did instead was send Mirror Kirk to a remote prison planet, but in the Prime Universe AND in the past. Archer and the Enterprise would accidentally stumble upon the planet, an older Mirror Kirk would take over, and menace the galaxy once again. The STO version would take this story, but instead place it in the 25th century. Of course, that would all depend on STO having enough money to hire the VERY expensive Shat. (How many lockbox key sales would that take? Probably more than the number of tribbles in the universe. 🙁 )
–Thoughts on Season 14: Emergence–
“The only good bug is a dead bug!”
What is this, the 3rd type of creepy, crawly “Starship Troopers”-esque enemy mobs in STO? (I’m counting the giant spiders, in addition to the Bluegill.) The ‘Fleet Colony Tour’ mission was alright, same with the queues and the actual fleet holding. As for where the story is going, I’d guess that the bugs point the way. I expect maybe 2 to 3 more featured episodes before Expansion 4 takes us to the Gamma Quadrant, so “Melting Pot” is likely already laying out some of the plot elements. Besides the Dominion (obviously), the other big power known to be from that side of the wormhole are the Hur’q, which are (drumroll please)…an insectoid race.

Did I mention I hate mini games?
seannewboy on 2017-10-10
Yes, hopefully others feel the same way.

I like the new featured episode and voice acting from Levar, but I am disappointed by the new fleet holding. The map is nice, but the mini games are not the least bit fun. The developers need to remember WHY we play the game and mini games are pure grind. I sincerely hope the colony provisions go on the exchange or they have some DOFF missions to earn provisions.

So in response to last week, I feel that Both Tony and Eliah have valid points about wether the first two or the third Discovery episodes should have been the premiere. I can easily see both of them being valid for it.
Emergence was amazing. And despite an eye doctors appointment I didn’t let anything stop me from it My overall thoughts of the colony world are absolutely mind blown. Powerboard racing on the lake. Can you beat that? And once again Levar Burton sending chills down my spine with every work he speaks as Geordi in the mission Melting pot. But speaking of the featured episode, I thought the Tzenkethi were xenophobic, now they’re helping us? Or is it just the klingons they have a distaste for? Also spiders hatching from crystals. Well I didn’t have arachnophobia prior to that, but now….eh….. Well done cryptic, well done. I do however feel that we’re not done with the Tzenkethi and if the KOed Lizard ca[tain doesn’t kill the Tzenkethie who helped us, he may end up be ing like Nelen and the VOth from Season 8 and potentially be a BOFF? *hint hint cryptic*
