He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

I haven’t watched MLP, but on the Champions Forum I once made some fan art. Someone asked about the Champions mechanic of blocking (which I am forever thankful didn’t get implemented in STO when we got their game engine) and a well known forumite Caliga said “I block with my face”. Another forumite who uses Pinkie Pie for her avatar said “I also block with Caliga’s face”. So I made a picture of Pinkie Pie using Caliga as a meat shield (against Grond if you know Champions). Spinnytop, the poster who used the MLP avatar responded “When I woke up this morning I was grumpy. Now sunshine is blasting out of all my holes.”

Which is a long way of saying, Pinkie Pie is my favorite.

Although I’ve never watched MLP, I know there is a “logical” horse in the (S)show.
(Is there an MLP community in STO or something? I think I’ve seen this somewhere before)
A friend says I’m like that horse, logical.
I’ll have to pick that horse, as my favourite one.

Furthermore, complex sentence structures are sweet.
Lastly, Kena and Single Ladies twerking, as suggested in the podcast, results in… a questionable image.

Good show, as always, and can’t wait to get my own anti-matter home heating unit soon!

As to the Community Question, my favorite My Little Pony character? Boris the Groundhog. Yes, I know his job as head of the Underground Custodian Staff for Ponyville meant he didn’t get much screentime, but he is the one who has to deal with all the garbage that happens behind the scenes. As the guy with the dirt on everyone, Boris is one of the most interesting shadow-rulers I’ve ever seen depicted on a TV series…that elusive combination of cuteness wrapped in ruthless directness. His line at the end of Season 8.751 was a classic! ‘Who run Ponyville?’ Boris do!

    Keep up the great work!

Wonderful show everyone,i for one was thrilled to hear about Moffatt working on ST.

cq) The girl in the blueberry costume because she helps people with her caring beam from her chest.
    Care Bears, seriously?

Your April Fools episode was 99.98% perfect, it would have been 100%…so where did the .02% go?!

When you mentioned William Cochrane with the Lithium thing and everyone failed to mention the .02% coincidence to Zephram Cochrane…

…it was then and there I knew I was in for a ride! 🙂

    • Kenna on 2016-04-07

You noticed!! William Cochrane is 100% made up: William Riker + Zefram Cochrane 🙂

Also, the University of Montana’s Phoenix Astrophysics Lab? Come on!

I would like to say my favorite Character in the My Little Pony univers is also Discord. I mean come on there is an episode that he is dressed just like Hunter S. Thompson from Fear and Loathing in Loss Vegas.
But If I had to pick a pony it would be Cheese Sandwich from Season 4 Episode 12. Modeled and Voiced by none other that “Weird Al” Yankovic. He even has one of his great Polka mash-ups played on his accordion.
Before ending this I would like to point out that I have 2 kids that religiously watch My Little Pony’s and I do enjoy watching it with them.

I appreciate that you guys put a lot of work into this one, and that it’s a slow STO news week, but enough already.

Sorry, not your best show. 🙁
