Hi guys, just a little clarification, you mistakenly named Wells class as Paradox twice in a row this episode and one of the previous episodes.
There are 3 primary temporal ships in game excluding Krenim.
Wells + Mobius were available from/since temporal lockbox
Paradox is available since current Terran lock.
In episode 257 you stated that Paradox is a mirror version of Wells – Far from that. If anything Mobius is a mirror version of Wells as in “the opposite of”
In episode 260 you say that Pastak is technically Paradox… Well it is Wells class tbh.

Hm…Thanks for the clarification! You’re right about the Pastak being a Wells-class, and that the Mobius is the Mirror Universe equivalent of the Wells.
Buuuuuuttt…the Paradox temporal dreadnought is definitely a “Mirror” ship: “The Paradox class Temporal Dreadnought is the most feared vessel in the Terran Empire fleet. It boasts technology from the Mirror Universe’s distant future which allows it to be massive and agile without sacrificing durability.” (via Gamepedia) And while it has physical similarities to the Wells, I’m not sure if it can share costume parts, so I’m gonna have to go with we’re both right on that one 🙂

1) I haven’t played directly with the Skill Revamp on Tribble yet, so I don’t have much to say on that. The usual forum drama aside, everything that I’ve read and seen so far leads me to believe that it’ll be about the same as we have now, just with Spec System-inspired choice trees instead of a cluster of technicolor bars.
2) As far as JJVerse rehashes of old Trek screen content, I’m not sure that I want just a repeat or tweak of an old Trek story; maybe those are fine for the comics, but I suspect a good portion of screen-watching Trekkies won’t accept that, and we’ve already seen the outrage with Into Darkness, a.k.a. TWoK 2 (this time, with MORE FEELING :p ). I would however like to see some of the races and certain persons from the shows make an appearance in the JJVerse in some way: the Gorn, Romulans (of that era, not Nero’s overdramatic time traveling band), the Orion Syndicate, maybe some species that we know later join the Federation, as well as cool characters like Dr. Daystrom or old-man Shran…those things are ripe for stories that aren’t just copies of old Trek episodes with a few tweaks, but take something grounded in prime Trek, while allowing for expansion and unique stories in the new JJ setting.

Why can we not have more fan films please! And fan films awards! I am personally would love to make a fanfilm based on STO! But this is so scary that I am so afaird of even sneezing!
We got a great community and talended people! We need more trek!
As I write this arc version 3 has been announced. I got no feelings about this one way or another. As long as zen can be easy to get with awesome account locked rewards.
T5u ships that no one uses? Carriers pets that no one use! Spoke like a true fed player. Sigh. Kdf need more ships!.

Hey P1, another fun episode. I just uploaded a speakpipe message, hope it arrives okay (might need a little sound boost).
Community Questions;
My thoughts on the new skill system;
1 As a dedicated “Sci particle gen/flow cap” player I was apprehensive, but as I said earlier, the more I look at it and crunch the numbers, the more I like it. This really is looking like a real improvement. Kudos to STO’s Dev team! Can’t wait for the final version.
2. If the JJVerse franchise were to revisit something from prior Trek;
– revisit TNGs episode “Encounter at Farpoint”, but this time Q isn’t mucking about and reboots the JJverse into a proper incarnation.
As a suggestion, and I’m not sure if you had her on already, but I would love to hear an interview with STO’s leading female voice artist, I don’t know her name, but she voices the computer and almost all races in STO, from human to vulcan to tholians to unknown aliens. Her connection or history with the Trek franchise must be impressive.

CQ1:
With regards to the ongoing work on the skill system revamp, so far I have no significant complaints.
I found it very easy to more-or-less replicate my holodeck build, benefitting quite well from some skills that have now been combines, and losing very little. On the whole, I have gained.
Many of the complains I hear about it so far seem to be centered around the perceived “forced choice” that some players think they system imposes on them. So far, I have seen none of that, nor do I think the revamped tree forces me to stick to one ship on any particular character.
Speccing for an ultimate ability is a bit of a red herring, by spending at least 25 points in any section of the tree you WILL face choosing skills that you neither want or need to the detriment of your build as a whole.
To summarise, I like the new simplified skill system and see nothing but positives about how it will effect my gameplay.
