Subscription Box1Greetings, Captains! You’re listening to EPISODE 252 OF PRIORITY ONE PODCAST, your weekly report on all things Star Trek! This episode was recorded on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 and made available for download or streaming on Monday, December 21st, 2015 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!

In this week’s Trek it Out, we’re looking at why Bill Nye thinks Star Trek is better than Star Wars (spoiler: it’s because Star Trek is totally rad). Oh, and a tiny little thing called THE NEW STAR TREK: BEYOND TRAILER has leaked this week, so yeah, we’re talking about that too. In Star Trek Online news, among other things, we’ve got great news for fans of Aron Eisenberg. On Screen, Cookie and Elijah are deconstructing the TNG episode Code of Honor, and Henry is here with a review of some out-of-this-world fan art.

Of course, throughout the show, we keep hailing frequencies open for your incoming messages!

He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Maybe I’m sensitive because I’m married to an Indo-carribean girl, but how about we see an Indian aboard a starship? (I think we briefly see one in ST:TVH, he talks about deploying a solar sail)

My favorite scene was Khan doing that first phaser run on the enterprise in WoK.

Wonderful show everyone, happy new year.

My favorite scene from a Trek movie? I love the KHAAAAAAAAAAN scream. While Quinto did a pretty good rendition of it, Shatner looked like he was about to have a hate-induced embolism. Plus it’s so fun to quote.

Honorable mention goes to Scotty’s trying to use a computer and his solution to temporal paradox: “How do we know he didn’t invent it in the first place?”

My favorite Trek movie depends on the mood I’m in, but alternates between Wrath of Khan and Undiscovered Country (Xmas season favors the latter).

There are parts and scenes of the JJ movies I really like (Kirks birth, Enterprise rising) it’s just some story just doesn’t sit with me.

My all-time favorite quote comes from ST III: “Kirk: My God, Bones, what have I done?
Bones: You did what you have to do, what you always do, turn death into a fighting chance to live.”

Those lines have, and still do, motivate me to give that extra push when everything looks dark and grim.

Great show everyone, looking fwd to “P1 Unplugged”. 🙂

Happy Bday Winters, get well Mark! and everyone Happy Holidays and best wishes for the new year !

Great show as always. My favorite film is First Contact, especially near the end when Data fires Quantum torpedos at the Phoenix. it looks to be the end until the torpedo narrowly miss and Data ruptures the plasma coolant tank. I also like the film because it gives us a look at a point in our near future that we might actually be alive to see happen.

Great show again guys, from the previous, my idea would be a Hornblower style go from cadet to Fleet Admiral this concept could be good. My favorite Star Trek film is i have two, The under covered Country and First Contact. Star Trek 6 because it talk about the BIG Picture and the small picture and First Contact because, you see how first contact happened and how the Borg is apart of the Federation, it’s cool how Wolf captain’s the Defiant.

joined trill as captain be a interesting idea, not just what you guys covered but they could even do a Doctor Who thing with the joined trill as in if the captain K.I.A. trill lives and gets a new host so different captain yet still the same captain..but i hope the new ST show isn’t about the temporal cold wars don’t want a doctor who clone

Great Show and happy Birthday Winters
