Subscription Box1Greetings, Admirals! You’re listening to EPISODE 234 OF PRIORITY ONE PODCAST, the premier Star Trek Online podcast! This episode was recorded on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 and made available for download or streaming on Monday, August 10th, 2015 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!

This week, we’re looking forward to Season 11, “A New Dawn”, which was just announced. We have an exclusive interview with Al “Captain Geko” Rivera, and a few other exciting guests, recorded LIVE at the Star Trek Las Vegas convention. He’ll be answering some questions about the new season, as well as taking a few others submitted by Priority One listeners.

But before we get to that, in Star Trek Online news, we’re talking about the rather lengthy patch notes this week, with some new features and one controversial nerf. We’re also looking at what the devs are currently doing to combat lag.

And of course, after the interview, we’ll open Hailing Frequencies for your incoming messages.

I am hoping that the Admiralty system will finally give the Constitution Cruiser some endgame value.

So very much looking fwd to a DS9 revamp, and a possible playable Cardie faction would be nice.
(Just don’t make them too nice and cuddly like the Romulans now – I really miss my devious, back stabbing, Klingon bashing “It’s a Faaake!” people.)

Great Vegas coverage, loved the Nog/Eisenberg/Zeronius interview.

Kenna! Didn’t knew you were such a musical wonder – 602 Club/Quarks should contract you 🙂

I am very happy to hear about the Admiralty system. Doffing is my favorite thing to do and the thought i can now send off the old ships i have (like most i got almost all the T5 ships). Sounds like that NX , tire 1 Steamrunner and the Connie will be in put to good use.

I am disappointed in the details of the Admiralty system. I was hopping for more of BOff’s in space and not DOff’s in space.
I am also not happy with ending the “war” so soon.
But seeing that we will get to explore will be a welcome change.

I’m very disappointed hearing Gako trash talking about honest forum feedback.

I really like to know how you think that everybody has high DPS.

Because I don’t, not everyone in my fleet or I pug with don’t. Unless you call 8500 DPS high.

Hahaha, Why am I not surprised to see you leave a comment like this!? 😀

What am I looking forward to in Season 11? Exploration. What we’ve done up to this pont is tie up loose ends in the Trek universe following Nemesis. Now that that is done, it’s time for us, the Captains this game is about to become explorer’s and boldly go where everyone’s gone before…. The closet where Cam keeps his sarcasm detector.

Also Kennah, you’ve done well fitting here, keep it up, you’re awesome 🙂

Awesome work everyone, I’m glad there finally making a story arc for the Mirror universe, I’m guessing that is when get our Tholian Tarantula. PS: Love the bloopers,”Incoming Cookies”

Well I am looking forward to the more exploratory roll and would really like to see us adventure into the Gama Quadrant. There is just so much Mythos in the Star Trek world yet unexplored.
And when will we be getting our T6 Odyssey? I mean if we are about to do some grand exploring then we should have a grand explorer vessel. A T6 Odyssey with a second Deflector Dish sounds like a good plan to me.

I am really looking forward to season 11. I wonder who this new civilization could be. Perhaps this “traveler from another time” that is mentioned in the blog is in fact the very same traveler that was seen in various TNG episodes. i’m looking forward to more details on this new Admiralty System. could this perhaps be an implementation of the space away team that some of us have been wanting?
