    I only have a problem with the changes for Dil. That have been put up on tribble yesterday.

    Its seems they are very kin to take our dil away.

    Not cool.

    With you going to cryptic there is one thing I would love them to look at and it is in an area that is a very sore spot, the economy.

    The only disparity now has to do with the ec inflation. Cryptic is nerfing new sources of ec income but has yet to deal with the ec already on the market.

    Right now a new player is still okay. To get to level 50 still is fast and if you do your rep system at the same time you can get then finished in about a month and a half. Crafting at level 15 can be achieved in about 3 months. In that 3 months a player can earn fleet gear.

    The area where EC is a problem is specialty doffs and traits. With the variety of older lock boxes certain items are going up in price. Now that lock box ships are only going to be t5-u and not fleet t6 level they will be less desirable and even fewer will be opened.

    The only way to normalize the exchange and not ruin those who play the lock box market is to retire lock boxes over a year old and place those rewards into the lobi store.

    Take items like inspirational leader, helmsman, Marion, Dlyrene, etc and turn them into lobi items.

    A proper supply of these items would become available while not ruining the value of older lockbox items. It also gives a chance for new lock boxes to have their money made. players can regulate the economy and the lobi cost will drive key sales.

      Actually I love this idea of putting some of the older lockbox rewards into the Lobi store if lockboxes change significantly in DR.

      Totally Agree with you about EC inflation in the game. Never really thought about it until a few discussion from endgame players in my fleet and there is really nearly nothing to take EC out of the game. Everyone is able to keep making more and more of it and pass that more and more around to each other leading to inflation in the current economy. While decreasing the demand for items by making them more readily available through the lobi store like you said might help a little bit I personally would like to see them solve this by turning the upgrade system into an EC sink that completely removes some EC from the game say by using EC instead of dil to apply an upgrade as there are already enough dil sinks in the game.

    Salutations P1 been enjoying the shows though I do miss the live interaction.all the entertainment value is still here. 🙂 I feel that with the the new elite content there is some discrepancy on whats Expected to complete them ive heard you can use T5u for them others times i hear you NEED a T6 ship .
    I feel a level cap increase is long over due , but i feel that the ship tiers didn’t need the complication , what should have done is just make a new ship class. to put those new special BOFFS (bridge officers, Cookie) on. so we would have tier 5 ,Escorts,Cruisers,Science,battle cruiser,Warbird,and intelligence. while all tier 5 ships would need the new mark level gear for new content they would all be usable for there niches .
    ive recently acquired ships i like but have a feeling im going to be forced outta them.which makes me angry .

    • Jayce on 2014-10-01

      Unless they add some objectives that explicitly require Intel bridge officer powers (which I have not seen on Tribble so far and would not be in keeping with their typical queue design) there is no way that a T6 ship would be /required/ over a T5U ship in Advanced or Elite queues. Right now based on the stats we have seen none of the new T6 ships will blast past the existing top-performing ships for queued content. Some of them will be able to punch up toward that and most of them seem to have some good quality advantages, but a T5 ship that’s good now will still be proportionately good in a month. Eventually there may come a “Scimitar-killer” T6 ship but I don’t see that yet.

    It’s kinda long sorry.

    1. No incentive to use the share or sell upgrade technology inside the exchange of the time and involved to level up in the crafting system. The skill requirement for each school is too extreme between level 15 to 20. A year and additional time to get to level 20. There is no incentive to craft any item other then during the 20 hour mission. To gain more then the 20 hour 7000 xp per school mission you have to monitor the crafting system and craft gear at every 5 hours requiring more grinding and leg work. A lot of people work and go to school. So, it’s better to run the 20 hour mission and call it a day for a minimum of two years literally every day just logging in hitting some mouse clicks.

    Selling the tech upgrades will not be profitable on the exchange so I don’t see me doing it. If a friend needs a upgrade just have them give the resources. Although some of the materials are sell-able and buy-able on the exchange. It’s better to run DOFF missions and get all the materials you need for free.

    I still have not crafted a single item. As for schools, I am balancing two characters with 4 schools each. So, I am hoping to be schooled in level 15 in 3 or maybe 6 months doing the 20 hour mission.

    2. Technology upgrade is error prone with bugs. Since Cryptic decided to release the upgrade system early. The system is messing up gear although Cryptic knew of the problems before the upgrade system release. I think the DR pack sells is lackluster so they are releasing things early hoping for more income. The bugs will probably be fixed a month or two after the DR release in as patches or another 10.5 release. I wouldn’t upgrade any tech gear untill that time. I might use might KDF player which I never play test some upgrades but I really feel the upgrades should be working 95% before releasing on holodeck at minimum.

    I’m not starting with dilithium cost.

    3. The Tier 6 ships. There is nothing really impressive with the ships. They are good but a well fitted T-5U fleet is as good and should be enough for the DR release content. The traits equally look lackluster.

    4. As for DR packs, it’s so unbalanced 5 Federation ships, 2 Klingon, and 2 Romulus. That alone sucks because it favors Feds while the other two factions are left in the cold. A faction specific pack would be good but as Cryptic said, faction specific DR packs will not happened.

    5. Starship Troopers. Is Cryptic that short on ideas? The Intel ships look like Tron boats. The bug hunt is Starship Troopers. Why not throw Dune/spice into the mix of things next? They did Godzilla/Dino-bots with the Voth.

    I enjoyed growing up Pac-man and Tetris. They can add that to the game next.

    Overall, I think Al is out of touch with normal and veteran players. So far one live-stream crashed, and system crashed before another live-stream. They brought STO off line due to bugs and mistakes. So, they want to release this DR thing in two weeks!

    Lastly, I don’t think Priority One is 100% confident of the DR release.

    @Elijah, I like everyone ideas of game additions but I think it might require some STO code rewrite or a STO version 2.0. Cryptic doesn’t want to go in that direction.

      Maybe the upcoming Tetris movie can crossover with the JJVerse?

    I do have an idea for new classes, 1 faction specific cannon class per faction.

    Federation= Maco Marine
    Romulan= Intel Operative
    Klingon= Dahar master

    I would also like the option to play a neutral independent captain. Not bound to any faction, not realistic I know, but if in real life I existed in the 25th century startrek era I would most likely be a mercenary outside of any particular faction.
