Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

    Hey guys!

Shep from Recruiting/Diplomacy in the Priority One Fleet here. Great show as always, loved the addition of Cookie! She did a really good job and the blooper reel about the show notes cracked me up.

I bought the Romulan 3-Pack of dyson ships. I like the ship itself, it’s BOFF layout, and I think some of the consoles are neat but I’m really disappointed I can’t use regular Romulan hull skins on them. You can switch them to the regular Romulan bridge though, what’s up with that?

As for adding my own story to STO.. I love to write fiction, but I’ve stopped because I don’t have an outlet for it. I used to have biographies for my characters and their bridge officers, and histories behind the ships themselves. I would love to see the Priority One Fleet expand with a roleplay division.

I’m really not interested in buying any dyson ship from the C-store because I really wasn’t impressed with the free ones. I would rather stick with the vet ships.

Excellent show everyone. Nothing but praise for my new favorite Cookie! Thanks for the reference to Sweet Georgia Brown, because everyone has time for her.
QC1: I only need the Rom, but have considered the kdf set, now i have to decide whether to spend 5k zen or 10k.
QC2: I dont really do that, kind of hard with 12 alts, thats a lot of story.

Hi Guy’s, I opted against buying the Fed Dyson Pack. I have enough ships I don’t fly much. But on another front, I think you should end your search for a new Host, Cookiecupcakes is awesome!

My thoughts on the dyson ship, is it’s not enough to get me off my Vesta class. Also as for the other thing, I actually enjoy writing RP style bio’s. Especially since the revamped feddie tutorial. I ended up writing along the lines of your starting boff’s and you end up being like kirk and his crew~ Also how does that wall Skiffy put in your face taste?

My thoughts on the dyson ships: visually unfair to KDF and ROM factions. If I knew nothing of the dyson storyline and saw a picture of the KDF/ROM ships, I would think “why does that Klingon/Romulan ship have a Fed skin on it?”

While the dyson ship material is obviously not the same as the Fed material, it is closer to Fed than any other faction, and the Fed dyson ship looks like it could even be a time traveling Fed ship from the future.

So it seems that with the Dyson ships the feds are getting ships that still look relatively “feddish”, while the KDF and Rom factions are completely losing the look of what makes those factions unique. IMHO, it should look equally “foreign” for every faction, not look like 2 of the factions have been forced to join the Federation.

I hope the devs will keep this in mind when developing the next version of a multi-faction skin.

For someone who lives on a small budget it just too much just to pay out $50, I would be more investing in slots and the odd lockbox with the $50. Also with it being in U.S. Dollars, I also have foreign exchange and a weaker Aussie dollar. So it will be more like $60 for me to buy it, pardon the pun.

I’m also happy flying my Fleet Excelsior too.

How I add my story to STO?

I made a foundry mission called Floods at Home parts 1 and 2. My main character cameo in part 2 as asking what is happening with the mail service for I was waiting on letter to see if I made it into the Academy, after some major floods. In real life I was waiting for a parcel containing the box disk of STO, which I was suppose to get right at the time the 2011 floods peaked at my place in Queensland, Australia.
