Greetings, Admirals! You’re listening to EPISODE 241 OF PRIORITY ONE PODCAST, the premier Star Trek Online podcast! This episode was recorded LIVE on Thursday, September 24th, 2015 and made available for download or streaming on Monday, September 28th, 2015 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!
After a grueling first few weeks back on the show, we’ve decided to give Mark a bit of shore leave, so in his absence, we’ve kidnapped Tony from our sister production, Guard Frequency, to help out in this week’s episode.
First up we’re checking back in with Elijah for the last of our Star Trek Las Vegas convention coverage. He’s interviewing Michael Westmore, the renowned Star Trek makeup artist, now a mentor on the reality TV show “Face-Off”.
In Star Trek Online news, after a few weeks of what *some* players might call a “content drought”, we have been inundated with several juicy new tidbits. We’re looking at more new content that will be coming with the release of Season 11. We’re also checking out the new Tier 6 Hestia Advanced Escort, and how you can get involved in the design of the next big ship in the pipeline.
And as always, before we wrap things up, we’ll open Hailing Frequencies for your incoming messages.
TOPICS DISCUSSED
This week’s Community Question:
- What would be on your wishlist for a brand new ship? It could be a feature of the new Federation Carrier that’s in the works, or something completely different.

He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Thank you for another great podcast and no complaints about Tony’s comments. With the season 11 approaching and with all the discussion of getting back to exploring we would need a grand ship to lead this so I would like to see a revamp of the Odyssey class with a secondary deflector array and a hanger bay to at least match up with the Romulan dreadnaught. Maybe not in raw fire power but to at least keep the Federation Flag ship relevant.

I came back from an extended break from P1 and hear TONY! DUDE! WE Miss You!~
Wishlist for a new ship?
1. K’vort class Battlecruiser(yes, THAT SHIP)
2. T6 variants of the older Lockbox ships.
As for the whole “it’s Guinan’s fault” Actually it’s not. Picard did let Yesterday’s Yar go but Guinan never told her that she needed to transfer. That was Yar being all “I want my death to mean something.”
On that note too… it’s also partially you fault as well. After all, you DID help her get back to that timeline yourself, Temporal Ambassador.

Excellent point on the temporal ambassador mission.

What I would really, really like to have is fighter pet controls for the other small craft, namely the Galaxy/Oddy saucer (seperation), Prometheus multi-vector and Aquarius/Hoh’Sus pets. Now they just fly off and basically do their own thing but having them under full fighter-pet control would make them a bit more versatile (“guard this freighter” for example).
Speaking of the Aquarius pet, unlike the other races (KDF has BOP pets, Recluse has Mesh Weavers) the Federation lacks frigate level craft.
I would like to see the new Fed Carrier to have four Aquarius – the model is already in-game as Odyssee pet anyway.
Nice to hear Tony again, thx Elijah for the interview with Michael Westmore.
Good stuff all around.

(Edit; not counting the Runabout/Yellowstones as Frigs).
