Regarding my ‘homework’, I already did that in my full post from last week. 😉 But basically, yes, the disparity between the old dil price and the new Lobi/Master Keys/really-just-Zen-price point could be lessened if the dil/Zen exchange rate went down to the mid-to-low 200s, though that’s an exchange rate that hasn’t been seen in STO in about 3 years, and one that seems unlikely to happen even with the STO devs’ most powerful nerfs and dil sinks. And mind you, that’s JUST to reach equivalency with the prior 2 million dilithium price point, let alone an even LOWER price point, which is what most players not buying the outfits before really wanted in the first place, rather than a higher price obfuscated by multiple currencies.
Do you plan on using the Vulcan Salute as your new DEFACTO greeting? Have you been using it already?
As much as having more folks embrace Star Trek stuff sounds cool, having everyone around using the Vulcan Salute at each other? That sounds…weird. 🙁 I mean…that’s OUR thing, right? Though honestly, all of the other convoluted greetings substitutes (bumping elbows (ya know, the things that people are ALSO coughing into), foot shakes, hugging the air, finger guns, etc.) seem kinda pointless anyways. Can’t we just wave hi or something sufficiently generic, instead of trying to force some other ‘hey, we have to shake hands without shaking hands’ facsimile?
What do you think a new summer event Risian Science Ship should look like?
If the Risian Escort is basically a racing boat, and the Risian Cruiser is a luxury yacht/cruiseliner, maybe the Science Ship should be something like an advanced submarine? Something that some famous marine explorer would use to see the ocean floor.
Star Trek: Picard, Episode 7 — “Nepenthe”
Why are “Bun-nicorns” f*king poisonous?! Poor bunny; as if having some random prop guy stick a plastic horn to the top of its head wasn’t bad enough. :p But YAAAAY! Riker and Troi are back! 🙂 🙂 🙂 And they have a cool daughter, and they all have family dinner with Picard and Soji, while Rios suspects Raffi of being a spy for no good reason at all, and Jurati ralphs her cake and her subspace tracking…stomach fluid? Yeah, I’m not even gonna guess how that’s supposed to work.
While the death of Hugh is certainly disappointing, especially after we already had the deaths of Icheb and Bruce Maddox, I don’t necessarily agree that it was just ‘pointless modern TV shock value’. Hugh was the one keeping the peace between the Romulans and the xBs; sure, the Romulans are obviously taking their Borg parts for who knows what (STO storyline says hi!), but at least the Romulans are giving the xBs some medical assistance afterwards, which is more than the rest of the galaxy is offering xBs, so they and Hugh are willing to toe the line. The death of his character by Narissa represents the literal death of the arrangement between the xBs and the Romulans. Now the xBs have no reason to be subservient to the Romulans anymore, and the Romulans have no reason to hold back from murdering all of these ‘monsters’ and taking everything that they want from the Cube and its inhabitants. It’s gonna get ugly reeeeal soon. 😉

I am quite miffed at the death of Hugh for a very important reason A While back it was said that CBS was so proud of what Star Trek Online had done that they didnt want shows to step on the toes of the games canon. Well killing Hugh did that as Hugh is very much alive in our game So now the prime timeline splits. Prime-1 (TV) and Prime-2 (STO). As for Riker and Troi, those scenses were my favorite seeing the mini cast reunion 🙂
