A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

I’d like to see the skill tree replaced with a system where you’d use Bridge officers or Duty Officers to enhance ship systems and skills.

So instead of placing points in the tree you’d slot a Bridge officer which would then gain additional skill by being supported by Duty Officers. For example, you’d get 6 tactical officers for a particular ship, you’d slot six BO’s to grant a skill like Fire at Will with Duty Officers that would add damage, special effects, or duration. Traits and specializations would remain unchanged.

Also, loved the show, glad my suggestion helped.

Keep up the great work Bob.

To wardcalis, the answer to #3 is no, bridge packs did not sell well, they wont be making anymore. They have said this repeatedly.
Personally i think torpedoes should use regular damage types, same as the beams use. almost no one will ever have extra slots for projectile damage consoles.

when you fly torp boats, all you use are torp damage consoles.

Christine Thompson leaving as writer, maybe Will Wheaton can take her place? He wasn’t interested in V/O work but wanted to write for STO 🙂

    Please ask the following:

    1. Are the Devs working on fixing the mk13&14 ranks of torpedoes? Currently they are broken with mk13 2 mods behind and mk14 4 mods behind when upgraded. They are not being fully upgraded.

    2. Please ask as a separate question.. Are the devs working on a new torpedo system or a fix/modification to the current torpedo system so that torps will no longer carry the stigma of being worthless and/or to make torps viable for elite/end game content.

3.Is there a Romulan bridge pack in the works? I’d totally buy that.

    4. Pretty please, will the T’Varo remain a torp boat, receiving torp oriented trait and console and set bonuses for the Tier 6 varient?

I’m hoping that there will be an announcement about the third expansion to STO. Hopefully it will give us a playable Cardassian faction with an expansive story arc detailing the rise of Cardassia and its attempts to regain what was lost after the end of the Dominion War. the devs probably didn’t want to do something like this before since the plot is very similar to Legacy of Romulus. now that Legacy of Romulus is reasonably far behind us, perhaps the devs will give the Cardassian expansion a second look.
