i actually leveled 2 toons in both scenarios mentioned, i had a lvl 50 with a lot of unfinished content, when i handed that all in at launch of delta rising i went to about lvl 54, i then started a new toon and leveled to approx rommie story at level 50, then carried on to detla rising and got to level 54, IMO there is a definite wall at level 54. What i would add, is i leveled the new toon before the Nov 20th patch

Hi pone show awesome show loved it I have missed a week of gameing due to a brack been playing kerbal space program food treck it out for ya cool little game but back to the game sto I see wear criptic come from regarding the cost of upgrades the say you can get a least one upgrade done in the 8,000 dilithuim limit and if every player in the pone fleet gave 2,000 dilithium a week you would get your projects done in no time my self been a member of the fleet about 3 weeks have gave over 150,000 dilithium to the fleet have no problem with giveing 2,000 a week to fleet projects as I want top end fleet weapons and so on then i will upgrade them useing the upgrade system also I think useing unrefind dilithium for fleet projects would be well better

New on new toon my captain is part threw the romulan story and I almost admiral lower half so I recon by the time I’m t delta quadrent stuff I product I will be lvl 56

Thanks for a great episode, and congratulations on 200. My favourite parts have always been the dev interviews, and this was no exception.

As for the seemingly endless debate on the crafting and upgrade system. Still waiting for the reduced material costs, I haven’t started upgrading my gear yet, but I like what I’ve seen and heard about the upgrade system so far.

I am however concerned about the need for very rare materials to make Mk XI and Mk XII gear. For people like me who want to make their own gear from the ground up, this is a bit of a problem. Say I had started from scratch using only gear I’ve made myself, and I don’t buy materials one way or the other. An extreme case, I know, but I see only two ways to pull this off. One way is to make Mk X gear and upgrade it using improved tech upgrades, which would cost very much dilithium. The other option is to do advanced queues using only Mk X gear. Is that even possible?

What an epic episode for such an epic milestone. Congratulations on reaching 200 episodes.

Geko once again earns his “Iron Backside” nickname with a long and great interview.

  6. sanokskyrat on 2014-12-02

    First congrats guys….

wow not only 200 hours but also 3 hours long! So much to talk about.

First as an Australian we do eat kangaroos. 15 years ago not so. But now all Coles and Woolies (our main stream supermarkets) do sell Kangaroo meat and sausages. Kolas have been added to the threatened species list. The eucalypt leaf is very low in viable nutrients. Which is why they dont so much.

Its great that Branflakes came back. And I agree to all of the the points. And right now though I don’t feel that PWE is talking alot to us.

As for Gecko comments, Yes i get were there coming from. Its a business. However, the end goal seems not achievable and i strongly ask them to all at that being changed a little. Its good to hear that they have fixed the problem. Bad its talking so long to put on holodeck. I know he says people are still on, but all my main fleet mates have left and now its just me and another. Our whole fleet is just died.

And finally lifer bonuses comments. As a lifer i am for that and I never say no to awesome new stuff. But i worried that it could change the balance of the game to much. The lifer deal is already pretty good. I find when i play other MMO’s that my friends want me to play they have no life memberships or program where they through you Zen, per month. I love the andriod and the ships are great but dislike that big belly.

I have been making the video about the XP missions…. but its so long too level those missions. When you get 3,300/150,000 its just painful. I found out though as long as you hit 50, you can skip all those missions. Delta is just there waiting, no skipping needed. I feel bad though. I full that these missions should give more. I mean if they dont want us to do the patrols (which are maybe not made for XP? That confused me about what Gecko was talking about). Was good to hear that yes on the meter of xp there all low from Gecko’s comments.

I am really happy your doing what your doing, please keep up the good work. I dont always feel that devs get the numbers right, but i am glad we have a place where we can hear there thoughts.

    Way this is long.

    Love you guys!

  7. seannewboy on 2014-12-02

Note to Gecko, if customers have incorrect assumptions, that would be a customer relations error. Perhaps if devs gave more information on the forums, your customers would not end up with so many instances of hurt feelings. You mentioned about the battlezones, that is one portion of the game i think you guys knocked it out of the park, Kudos to the whole team. The Undine space zone could use a minor tweak, it just seems a tad more grindy to finish.
As for upgrades, please unstick quality to mark upgrades, or let mk xiv tech upgrades give some bonus to research upgrades.
As to Dilithium for queus, they should always be a prize. The devs themselves (im thinking of a certain one) said that Dilithium is supposed to be a reward for time played. Why is some of my time in game more valuable than other time?
Request for info from devs: Could someone some day do some a series of conversations on how they decide stats for ships?
Your comments on ship interiors make no logical sense.Making a 2nd rom interior is too much for our 6 artists, i would rather make a galaxy and a generic one for the feds that have over a dozen already, HUH?
Cookie, trolls will always find a way/reason.
Another request for dev input: when fleet t6 ships come out will we start from scratch on masteries, or will we get some kind of boost?
Another request for dev input: Will kits ever go up to mk xiv or be upgradeable?
+1 for starbase refining of dilithium, have the officers only able to spend it on projects.

Love the snow effect on the website, awesome show everyone. Thanks for Brandon and Al dropping by.

P.S. Cookie the mockumentary was awesome, Kudos to you and all who helped.

  8. Jerry Lewis on 2014-12-02

Great episode, congrats on 200. Loved the opening skit, and really enjoyed hearing some of the previous cast members back again. It is nice to hear that they are working on the problem with alts and leveling gear. I do have to say, though, with the news that they weren’t bringing the other Breen ships back to the winter event, I have lost most of my interest in the event, but such is the way of things i suppose.

    • Jerry Lewis on 2014-12-04

So it seems I was a bit hasty in believing Al, as I have read on the forums, from Captain Smirk, I believe, that the other ships will be available. I also forgot to mention that I really loved the idea you guys floated around about donating dilithium ore to fleet holdings. I think that would be a great Idea, and would likely help with problems where no one is donating to fleet because they need all the refined ore for their own gear leveling, crafting, or whatever else they need to spend it on.

  9. jackmorenzo on 2014-12-02

Congratulations on reaching 200!! Your hard work, and friendly banter make my shift at work a breeze.

The feast of info we got in the episode (especially the hint of a possible tier6 carrier) made me FREEZE in place a couple times… and that mockumentary, NICE! B)

P.s. Is that snow in the comment section… I never noticed that before.

    To Another 200! Qapla!

  10. Fleet Admiral Winters on 2014-12-01

Congratulations to all on the Priority One Podcast Team with the 200th episode. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next 200! From all at Starfleet Task Force 1.

In Regards to upgrading gear on alt toons, i would like to make a suggestion that might be simple enough to implement.

Currently there are Basic, Improved, Superior and Experimental Tech upgrades. I would like to suggest a “new” Tech upgrade that would be “Account Bound”. These Tech Upgrades would unlock at level 15 for each school and give double or maybe triple the amount of Tech Points.

If such a Tech upgrade was added then it would work pretty much the same way as “Sponsorship Tokens”. You take your main toon and level the crafting up, then you can make these new Tech Upgrades and transfer them via the “Account Bank” to alt toons.

  11. the LootCritter on 2014-12-01

    Congratulations on 200!

The interview with Gecko was really appreciated. Once again we got a peak behind the door, giving us a better impression of what obstacles ‘Team Cryptic’ faces in getting content and new systems implemented.

Thanks again for the shout out at the end 😉 The hand grenade analogy took me by surprise, but it fits. The new costs this week will enable more testing, and we’re optimistic it’s a step in the right direction. Now to find the time between getting a new carrier, fighting off borg snowmen, and prepping upgrades. What to do first 🙂

  12. Dragnridr on 2014-12-01

Honestly, instead of using DIL for upgrading, why not use something more available like Fleet Marks/credits or EC? Dil IS A FREAKIN’ PROBLEM. Many people I have talked to has tons of fleet marks/credits with nothing to spend it on. I have toons with 150-300k Fleet credits with nothing to spend on because fleet gear will now be useless with the upgrade system, but I can’t upgrade because of the dil required. does Cryptic want me to play and enjoy their game or work the game like a job and grind and spend money I don’t have?

Remove the DIl requirement on the upgrade system and make fleet credits or marks, or EC the requirement instead.

  13. @Mighty_BOB_cnc on 2014-12-01

Why not just use the Romulan interiors from some of the episode missions or the Flotilla map? They’ve already got a modular romulan interior set, it can’t take that long to make a bridge out of it. The oft-quoted 60 day figure is to make a new interior from scratch but they already have all of the art they need; it’s just a matter of placement.

  14. wardcalis on 2014-12-01

Happy 200 guys, I appreciate you guys bringing my beef with the the lack of Romulan bridges to Al’s attention, However, I and upset that he side stepped it like he did. I was speaking mostly about bridges, Romulans have one, only one and it sucks, the ship interior is nice but the bridge is horrible and small. I’d personally love to buy a bridge pack.

Also, whats with the 6 fed t6 ships and 2 Rom and 2 Kdf ships? did he say anything about it off the air

  15. David Desjardins (@creativegeek_ca) on 2014-12-01

Congrats on Show 200 – listening to it on the drive home 😉

  16. Cavetroll on 2014-12-01

On the 1-60 leveling for a new character. I created a Fed aligned Talaxian shortly after DR launched. She is currently level 57 and has just completed the Jem’Hadar story arc, plus the Solanae arc. She missed the Mirror weekend event, but has done a fare number of space & ground BZs & PVE ques for marks & dil.

  17. Fynn on 2014-12-01

YES! Can’t wait for my commute…though I doubt I’ll make it that long. Probably watch that expose tonight, very excited. 200. Congrats P1!

  18. Cavetroll on 2014-12-01

Wanted to leave a comment on the 1-60 new character run. I started a Fed alligned Talaxian shortly after DR launched. It just hit level 57 and just completed the Cardassian/Jem’Hadar missions. She has also done the Solanae missions. She wasn’t able to take advantage of the Mirror weekend, but has done quite a few space and ground BZ for marks & dil.

  19. Tony on 2014-12-01

HEY! “A pretty good show?” That’s MY line, for MY show!

If you wanted to borrow it, all you had to do was ask!

Congrats to the P1 team and it was lots of fun jumping back in for a segment. Here’s to 200 more!

  20. Marcase on 2014-12-01

Congratulations to P1 with the 200th episode, a true milestone and an awesome achievement!

You guys have to balance between a very vocal player community and a naturally tight-lipped company, but P1 still manages to provide info up to and beyond 200 podcasts. Well done!

The Nerve Tonic Mockumentary – Brilliant !!! 🙂
Kudos to Cookie and a big Thank You to the STO team for being good sports and playing their part.
