10 September 2012 | Hello Captains!  Welcome to Episode 95 of Priority One recorded on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 and hosted on PriorityOnePodcast.com and now streaming live on TrekRadio.NET on Thursday nights!!!

In this episode’s Blank of the Week, we take a look a DS9 focused podcast, “The Gamma Quadrant!”  As always, we’ll find out what happened This Week in Trek. In STO News we cover Season 6 Dev Blog 26, the newest Foundry special project, Foundry Challenge #4 voting begins, the Tholian Lockboxes are going away, and STO Joins Raptr!  Also we will be joined by some of the Trek Radio crew!

Additional links: Thomas’s Ship art, The DStahl Raptr Q&A, DirePheonix’s STO Forum digest of the Raptr Q&A.

Our new KDF Columnist – Sargon the Great, is working on a Developer Q&A column focused entirely on KDF questions which have gone too long unanswered. Find the question thread here. Look for it in the coming weeks in our new Blogs section. If you have thoughts, comments or ideas for Sargon, send them to incoming@priorityonepodcast.com. Qapla!  Also be sure to check out Soridiem’s wonderful articles “The Spirit of Trek” just full of Trek goodness! You can find all articles on our website in Content menu tab at the top!

Attention P1 Fans! Beginning with Episode 95, we will no longer be live streaming our show at the old livestream.com location. Priority One WILL be broadcasting LIVE from TrekRadio.net! Starting at 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET every Thursday. We will be getting things going around 5 but the show starts in earnest at 5:30 🙂 Trek Radio has an IRC Chat Client on the site, so fear not loyal livestream listeners, your interactions with us will just get easier and better! We will continue to release our recorded shows every Monday here at Priority One Podcast, along with all of our other content. But for the live show, tune in September 13th for our next broadcast, Live on Trek Radio!

We are beginning to add video content to our site! Our first venture into video wonderland is the product of our collaborative efforts with Cerberusfilms! Priority One had the opportunity to author the August Guest Blog for Startrekonline.com, reposted on our own site and on StarTrek.com. In it we cover the (FAS) Fleet Advancement System that launched with Season 6! Go take a look and let us know what you think!

Our first Foundry Focus video is up! “A new breed of warrior,” by Soriedem. Subscribe to our channel and receive updates when we release new videos! http://www.youtube.com/stopriorityone, and as always let us know what you think!

Keep an eye out for our next Episode of Trek It Out featuring an interview with TOS Production legend, Doug Grindstaff.

Also, we are expanding! That’s right, we are adding more and more features to the site, like the aforementioned guest blog! And we need some help! So if you have ever wanted to be a part of a podcast team, send us your info!

Our Team is looking for an Assistant Audio Engineer. This person would be responsible for work under the direction of our Chief Engineer, Adrianne, on Priority One, Trek It Out and other as yet unannounced projects! Send your contact information and experience to incoming@priorityonepodcast.com

We are also putting the call out to Game, scifi/fantasy and entertainment bloggers. We are in need of weekly, possibly daily contributors and a Managing Editor, who would be responsible for managing and publishing the blog submissions on our site as well as some of the written content for our shows.

All of these positions are volunteer at the moment, none of us here at Priority One take home one single dime from our work. But the benefits are endless. We offer a well known outlet for your work and the opportunity to gain much needed experience or hone your already established experience, make contacts and most importantly have fun!

If interested, please forward you contact information and experience along with a few writing samples to incoming@priorityonepodcast.com

He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Condolences from the Star Trek Online community to all who knew Eve Online’s forum moderator and in-game senior diplomat Vile Rat, U.S. Diplomat Sean Smith, who was one of four Americans killed by protesters who attacked the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Sean was online when the attack began and one of the last things he typed was the word: GUNFIRE.

It is sobering to think about how all of us in the MMO community are actually a very close-knit family. We should all give pause and reflect on our appreciation for the friendship and comaradity we enjoy with real people from all over this one earth we share, because in an instant, we can and do…lose one of our own.

First off, congrats on now being part of the Trek Radio Collective…I think it’s awesome that you guys are now part of Trek Radio and crew….As always it’s fun listening to you guys live and interacting in the IRC Chat…Ep. 95 was sweet, thanks for the information on the DS9 Podcast i looked it up and did what i call the “Priority One Podcast Maneuver” or POP which basically put…I went and Downloaded ALL Eps. that they have. That should give me a good Podcast fix for a week or so LOL.

It was sweet yet kinda weird hearing Risa and Dey’vid on the show simply because i always listen to them on Tribbles In Ecstasy, Podcast UGC, Gates Of Stovokor, Etc…(yes i listen to almost all of the podcasts out there) Maybe now that you guys are part of Trek Radio, you guys can have a mini Podcast convention or a gathering of all of our favorite podcasts in the Trek Community and talk about STO, their Podcast, or anything Trek related, etc…just an idea =]

As always keep up the good work, keep growing, keep Treking and podcasting…
    see you guys at Starbase.

P.S. I’d Like to send out a shout out or a ….QAPLA’ to ALL the Warriors of the KDF out there. Keep sending out your ideas and constructive feed back to Cryptic. Don’t give up the fight for KDF quality content that is much needed on the KDF side. Even if the situation seems hopeless at times….a Warrior Never gives up, but fights to the very end…
