129Hello Captains and welcome to Priority One’s 129th episode, recorded on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013 and published on Monday, May 27th, 2013 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!!!

Prepare to have your warp cores breached as this week James, Elijah and Tony bring you the latest and greatest from the world of Star Trek Online! In this week’s Trek It Out, Tony tells us why education is important in ensuring that one day we get to discover strange, new worlds; seeking out new life, and new civilisations — boldly going where no-one has gone before! (Sorry, got a bit carried away there!). Flying through the wormhole and ending up in the STO News quadrant, we cover Legacy of Romulus Dev Blogs Twenty, Twenty-one and Twenty-two, and of course, our experiences in game since Tuesday… that is when we’re not being interrupted! Next, you’d better have a data pad or holorecorder to hand as Elijah interviews Mimey, guest blogger for Star Trek Online, who tells us what it takes to start a fleet and nurture it from the ground up. Finally, we respond to those flashing lights and constant bleeping from Worf’s station as we open up hailing frequencies and review your incoming messages!

This week’s Community Questions:

  • Now that Legacy of Romulus is live and you’ve had about a week to play around, what are your thoughts to the additions and improvements to the game? Let us know in the comments section for this episode, or in our Star Trek Online Forum post!

A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Wow, you read a previous post of mine! I feel… honored, lol.
So, like Capt. Geiko said, I have begun a Romulan. Up to lvl 46. I figure I’ll top him out at 50, and play him from time to time. But I will not be grinding the rep.
Once at 50, I’ll be heading back to my Fed and work on the Nukara rep and Nimbus stuff 🙂
Loving LoR all around. The bar is high for what comes next.
Also, on my mind, running through the Rom and replaying the feature episodes, I really love them and hope they make another soon!!

So was Priority One not satisfied with the Starfleet Special Operations Group fleet?

    • p1admin on 2013-05-30

On the contrary – SSOG is a very strong fleet with some amazing members. Our goal is to chronicle the growth of a new fleet to help educate listeners and players who might want to start their own.

LoR is awesome! The new Klingon content is my favorite so far.

PS: I’ve got some new characters that might be interested in joining your new fleet. Is it fed only or is there a kdf division?

    • p1admin on 2013-05-28

For now, we are FED only… but the more we grow, the more likely we’ll be able to create a KDF fleet… email us your @handle and we’ll shoot you an invite!

Hi there! I’ve been extremely busy with work lately, so its nice to be back. I’m LOVING the new expansion, but surely you were joking when you called the launch “smooth”. Dont get me wrong, it was well worth the wait. But come on :p Anyway, I’m also loving the new KDF missions; I think im actually enjoying them as much as the romulan ones. Keep up the great work everyone!

      Hi Stark,

Which link are you trying to download it from? Everything seems to be playing fine for us on this end!

  13. Yuchen@vonohzu on 2013-05-27

Eh, more interested in having Ira Steven Behr or Ron Moore written feature episode than cast member VO.
Also, did anyone else have their framerate destroyed by the patch or is it just me?

    • Zella on 2013-06-01

Yes I’m getting the same issue you are. The problem that I am getting is a High-Mid FPS then all of a sudden I get a drop to zero.
