121Hello Captains and welcome to Priority One’s 121st episode, broadcast live on TrekRadio.net on Thursday, March 28th, 2013 and published on Monday, April 1st, 2013 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!!!

In an insanely packed show, your dynamic duo this week are Elijah and Tony whilst James is recovering from an April Fool’s prank involving a clown and a Ferengi in a gorilla suit that went horribly wrong. In this week’s Trek It Out, Tony is left speechless but manages to utter the phrases “Gorn”, “Shatner” and “Pillow fight”… intriguing… In STO news we cover Season Seven, Dev Blog Forty-one, the reintroduction of the Redshirt testing server and the latest Tribble Patch notes. Next, we head into our new Community Spotlight segment featuring Sam On Maui, STO’s original Dilithium Tracker, before we open up hailing frequencies and review your incoming messages.

Remember, Captains, all the submissions we receive for our show will be entered into this month’s random drawing for 1,000 ZEN — this includes comments on our website and emailed segment topics!

Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

So, if the primary storyline missions for all factions are rescaled so that your character is lvl 40 upon completing them (for the rommies, all the undine/borg/breen-specific story missions are NOT included in the “primary” storyline according to cryptic – remains to be seen what that means for the KDF), we’re only talking about 10 levels worth of KDF-specific story content that is needed. They are “revamping” the Klingon tutorial, so that may then be structured similarly to the current FED tutorial (which hopefully gets revamped itself), i.e. 5 missions for that. Depending on how much they re-adjust the skill points earned per mission, we might actually not get more than ~5 new Klingon story missions or even none at all other than a new turorial. I think that’s very much possible if not even likely.

    Now for some actual feedback:

Enjoyed the show as always; I do a lot of traveling in my work so podcasts like P1 help the trips seem shorter, so thanks! I liked Tony’s idea about the “full story experience” spanning all 3 factions. And for the record, that would definitely motivate me(even more) to level a character in each faction. However, I kind of doubt they will actually pull that off. I think a goodly portion of the new KDF content is going to be based around new adventure zones, not hard core story episodes like we love. I wish it were, but I’m just trying to be realistic. Either way I’m just looking forward to playing it and leveling some new characters. Until next time!

I don’t think the statistic of the KDF having only 18% of the population is relevant at all to the Romulan population. The reason is that the latest information coming out is that the Romulans will be able to use and purchase equipment from both Romulan and their chosen allied faction, including past C-store purchases. In fact, I believe that there is NO REASON to play a new character in the KDF or UFP specific factions after the release from a gameplay perspective. Everyone should play Romulan because they have this dual faction advantage.

Dilithium cost of Zen is usually low when there’s a sale on Zen points, conversely when there’s a sale on C-Store items Zen cost Dilithium decreases.

Tony the Federation is doomed no matter how hard you try. The skies of all of the Federations planets will turn green with our ships!

I cant post on the forums to reply in your thread, but I do have a question for Dan on next week’s episode. To Dan:

First of all, thanks for all of yours and the teams hard work on this new expansion. That said, can you please elaborate on the kinds of new exclusive content the KDF will be getting in May? Thanks.

To the P1 crew: I havent had a chance to listen to this week’s episode yet but I will be later today when traveling so I’ll post my comments later. Thanks!
