Don’t forget L’Rell is a extremist from a cult that actively worked to start the war in the first place.

I’ve enjoyed Discovery for the most part, though I have to admit that the finale was not the most satisfying. Some ‘story logic fails’: Starfleet (through Mirror Georgiou) plants a bomb that can destroy all of Qo’noS with a press of a button, which could be used by the Federation to blackmail the Klingons into submission…AAAAND they give it to the Klingon lady who they locked up for a month, the one who kept gloating about how the Klingons were gonna win the war, the one who screamed after watching her lover Voq ‘die’, the one who Mirror Georgiou just kicked in the freakin’ head, and they give control of the bomb to HER while asking her to take over the Empire and ‘Pretty please, make all the Klingons stop fighting with us’ and expecting it to all be OK? Yeah…no. If I were L’Rell, I’d take that bomb control to get all of the Klingon houses on my side, yes, but THEN I’d tell them to go right back out to kick the Federation’s asses; ‘cuz there’s no reason for L’Rell to stay loyal to the FEDs. So we end with a rather muted end to the war with the Klingons, an alternate universe war criminal with a taste for Kelpien flesh on the loose (I sense many more threat ganglia going up in the future), a lame afterthought comment to get rid of the Spore Drive, and Saru doesn’t even get to keep his command. 🙁 Then the Discovery crew goes off, shiny new medals in hand, on some boring distress call, and OH MY GOD IT’S THE ENTERPRISE!!!

    Great episode!

Watched the finale of Discovery in my room, there were parts of the episode where I laughed out loud.

Was a little teary near the end, great scene, so chronologically speaking is Discovery (series) now in the same period of the first new Abrams Trek film could this be why Enterprise has sent out a distress signal?

I watched Discovery like I always do on my laptop by myself. And the finale, the USS Enterprise (Hey is that the Enterprise-A Nacelles?) Showed up and with the original series theme playing I admittedly cried with a big smile on my face It brought back so many memories of my mom exposing me to this franchise with the original series. It was a fantastic ending, I wish she could have lived to see it.

But now comes the burning question….Who will play Pike and who will play Spock and how will Micheal react to her “brother” on that ship?
