Subscription Box1Greetings, Captains! You’re listening to Episode 153 of Priority One Podcast, the premier Star Trek Online podcast! This episode was recorded live on on Thursday, December 12th, 2013 and published for download on Monday, December 16th at!

James decided to wear a red shirt over the weekend which has landed him in a spot of death, so Tony and Elijah are manning the bridge of the USS Priority One as we set a course and engage at Warp 9 for another show packed to bursting point with STO goodness. In Trek It Out we look at a new Star Trek game hitting an iOS device near you! In a rather light STO News, Klingons deliver their answer to the Federation Avenger Class with their very own Mogh Battle Cruiser, and we discuss the latest Spire Featured Project. Next, we discuss a topic that’s dear to many of our hearts — the decline of player interdependence in MMORPGs and ask for what your thoughts on this topic are, before we move into the highlight of this week’s episode — Star Trek Online’s Lead Writer Christine Kestrel Thompson joins us to talk Season 8 and what it’s like to write for the only living incarnation of our beloved franchise!  And of course as always, we’ll open hailing frequencies and see what’s incoming from you, our lovely listeners.

Hi, this is willtrekkie. I was listening to this podcast but after it mentions that the first episode Kestrel saw was Spock’s Brain and your reaction, it cuts back to the beginning instead of going forward. So can that be fixed? Thanks.

A great interview PriorityOnePodcast, first time listener.

I love what STO and Christine “Kestrel” Thompson done with Season 8 opening with Worf, Iconian and Dyson Sphere cannon-story tie-ins (TNG: “Schisms” S6E05, TNG: “Contagion” S2E11, DS9: “To the Death” S4E22, TNG: “Relics” S6E04).

VOY S3E23 “Distant Origin” is it just me or there wasn’t a lot of explanation on why there’s a full-on war with the Voth and other lingo that comes with Voth; Distant Origin Theory, Voth Doctrine, Ministry of Elders, Nekrit Expanse, etc… Perhaps it will come later or a Star Trek style judiciary trial?

Some praise, my favorite in game quote was (STO: Cardassian Struggle: Second Wave – Boldly They Rode.) “A hand that stays closed is not a hand.” I was so blown away how that whole section puts DS9s story to an end.

Thank you for the wonderful interview.
