About testing the ships : Understand the reason, why you stopped posting it on tribble.

But about new way how to get feedback : There is many trolls on the forum. So why not giving the option to test ship to Lifetimers ? doubt there will be many trolls who bought a lifetime.

this could be a good perk for people who will buy it . And people who got lifetime, believe in the game

Awesome Interview! I always love to hear Al talk about the game. It just seems idea’s just flow so freely with him and he’s always available to discuss them and be real with players. Although was a bit disappointed by my STF question, I hope that we’ll get to see “Into the Hive” sometime soon.

As always great show, and I look forward to the next one. As a avid ship guy myself i’m looking forward to part 2.

As always you guys bring in the Dev exclusive awesomeness…you guys are the BEST!!…The interview with Mr.Rivera was great, thank you guys for bringing in a Dev voice to ease the situation a bit with the recent changes to the STO website and other concerns. I think that if a Dev or just a Cryptic Rep would come on your show a explain the situation whenever everything gets FUBAR that most people would be at ease. Sometimes Hearing a Voice explain a situation is better than reading a post or even worst NOT having an explanation at all. Again great job…

Having Elliot come on some more is also a must…why not?, other podcast have over 10 people hosting….why not have a 4th host come on here and there….just sayn’

To Eli: SERIOUSLY ELI?!?!….seriously, seriously!!….$60 for FEs and in game commercials??…..REALLY!!??…LOL don’t make us come after you with Klingon Pain sticks and Ferengi Energy Whips…Chill Bro, just chill, it will be ok =] …all kiddin’ aside i hope things are ok. Since you couldn’t make it to the last Ep.

The website is awesome LOVE the new look. I hope you guys are going to have a Forum where we can easily post our comments. I know that the Quantum Cafe is still up but it hasn’t been to active since the new website came along…

Keep those Dev Exclusives coming and keep up the awesome job that you guys do for us. I can only imagine how much MORE awesome your Podcast would be if you guys got paid to do all of this =]

Thanks Again see you guys out there….

The show stopper for me already is the news of Heretic leaving after I just heard the other day that Gozer was leaving.

I had to pause the podcast and start googling.

This is shocking news to me. I, like most other players, am a little unsettled by the recent moves by perfect world to assimilate Star Trek Online into their collective.

“startrekonline.com” is no more. We are now in the “sto.perfectworld.com” phase.
Where Perfect World is taking priority over Star Trek Online, because it’s spelled out right there, in the digital context. That tells me all I need to know about what this company thinks of itself.

They have to slap their name on everything. Next thing you know I’ll be flying the P.W.E. Kaizer instead of the U.S.S. Kaizer in STO.
Perhaps an over reaction. But this is the level of violated I feel about this.

And the fact that they couldn’t migrate the forums with our post counts or original sign up dates, I’ve done this before. I’ve converted a MySQL database or two in my time and I’m just some computer geek. If paid IT professionals can’t be bothered for that level of detail, they don’t seem to care much about the state of the game in my personal opinion. Take that for all it’s worth.

I’ve stood by and supported Cryptic. I work retail, sales. I know what a company has to do to stay alive sometimes. Overall, they’ve given us a pretty good game to play. And I do enjoy it.
And up until now, I haven’t questioned the things that have happened. I’ve taken it as it’s comes.

I kept telling myself, they’re doing the money grabs to recoup some money from a dry spell they had during the buyout transition. They need to hire some more people to work on the game and they need money to pay them. It’s a catch 22 and they’re just trying to get past it.

But here we are, months later. I haven’t been keeping detailed logs, but we’ve had some new devs join, but also some leave. As it stands right now, it feels like to me if anything the count on devs is actually lower than it was before, as of right now.

And I view Perfect World as the borg. They are assimilating. They have no remorse. ‘They only wish to improve the quality of life for all species’. They will add our technological and financial distinctiveness to their own. Resistance is Futile.

And I feel, the line must be drawn here. This far, no farther.

I am considering dropping my subscription for the first time and transitioning to free to play.

You guys talked about a Romulan ship in a lock box, but in the recent in game Q&A, Dan specifically stated this was not going to happen:

“(5:20:20 PM) dstahl: RE: D’deridex in a lockbox: That ship will be part of any future plan for a playable Romulan species and not a lockbox”

    http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=273756

I guess he was talking specifically about the D’Deridex, but the same logic would seem to apply.

Great episode, like each one before. 🙂 Great new website design too!
I’m interested if listeners are able to post questions for the Friday ship interview? If we are, I’d like to know if there are any plans on about remodeling the Cardassian Galor Class Cruiser? It’s STO design really stands out from all the other games and series it has been featured in… And I don’t mean it’s a canon ugly design, no. For someone maybe it is, but for me, it is a gorgeus ship.
