Background

This week, a Star Trek actor gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, some favourite Star Trek couples get reunited, Leonard Nimoy’s house is up for sale, and new technology could mean the end of pantsless Star Trek podcasting.

In Star Trek Online news, we’re getting more details about the upcoming expansion “Victory is Life” and the Mirror Universe event is back for a limited time.

Jake and Cookie are here later with more tempting merchandise on The Promenade.

And of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we’ll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages.

He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

    Loved the show.

As for the cq, It would be very amusing for her to play an ancestor, especially if she plays the character more like Lwaxanna.

As for the out takes, i think you guys need a ounce more, ssssshhhhhhh in that recipe.

    Marina is Discovery’s new computer.
    Majal Barret is Enterprise’s computer.

Enterprise’s SOS is that the computer had taken on a mind of its own. Discovery computer begins to act the same way after coming in contact with the Enterprise, resulting in the ships getting into a mother daughter argument. Hyjinks ensue.

Aweseome as she is, I’m not sure there are any specific roles that I’d NEED to see Marina Sirtis play in Discovery. It’d be cool, but not necessarily a must-see event. I don’t believe the Federation have met the Betazoids by this time period (at least in the Prime universe), but I suppose she could play Deanna Troi’s great-grandmother or something. Which would sorta be a tradition among the TNG cast I guess; Michael Dorn played Worf’s grandfather, Worf 🙂 in The Undiscovered Country, and Brent Spiner played Arik Soong in Enterprise, who’s great-grandson Noonian Soong made Data.

    Great podcast guys (as always).

I would love to hear Marina voicing a couple of computers, she could do one in her normal accent, and one in her ‘Betazoid’ accent. The former would be sarcastic funny, the latter should be unintentionally funny.

Or she could play Pike’s First Officer.

Or she could play any damn character she wanted and I would still pay money to see it.

Or all of the above. Just not Troi in an holodeck, a la Enterprise.

Anywho, that’s enough from me, so I’m gonna ‘zipit’ and go.

Here’s a crazy idea…..But what if she played one of Troi’s ancestors? It would be interesting to see her play another character of that bloodline~

Also would Mirror Tony or Elijah be clean shaven since they already have goatees or are they infiltrators…. Hrm….

In regards to the community question, I would like to see Marina Sirtis play either some distant ancestor of her original character Deanna Troi or if not possible, perhaps play a Vulcan as a somewhat nod of her episode of “Face of the enemy”

Does anyone know when the Cardassian/Dominion faction comes in, whether their entry would simply be an additional mission to “New Frontier” or a completely new series of missions, perhaps with some backstory as to what the Dominion has been upto since Odo resurfaced?

With the addition of this faction, does this mean “The True Way” are defunct and will there be any changes to the “Dominion Domination” series of missions in the future, perhaps allowing the Cardassian character to play the missions but from the Cardassian POV?

    • seannewboy on 2018-05-14

Its supposed to be part and parcel of the expansion. Not sure how the new missions shake out as far as hurq vs cardi/dom.
