What Ash went through wasn’t his choice. He didn’t volunteer to be some sort of sleeper agent and had no control of what he did. Thus, for the crew to sort what forgive him is actually realistic and helpful to his recovery. How can he recover by feeling guilty when he had nothing to feel guilty about. Nevertheless, his humanity won’t let him forget what he had done as Voq. I understand why Burnham broke up with him, but in realty that is the worse thing for soldier to experience when suffering from PTSD. Often those suffering from PTSD basically get push over the edge when some they love leaves them, which has often lead to suicide. Fortunately, Burnham knew Ash has the support he needs from the rest of the crew and since she has things that she is going through…breaking up with Ash is the best thing to do for both of them.

Excellant show as always. You know looking back on season one of Discovery, what I can say is for what they were trying to do and as awesome as it was, it was a story arc that should have taken 20 to 24 episodes to tell properly. I mean 9 months between the mirror universe and getting back? Something that a longer season would have given the writers to let us know in advance. Still I look forwards to season 2 and Elijah rockin it out on After Trek! Wooo! Next time do it as an Iconian 😀
