In STO news, we’re catching up on what we can expect over the next month in Star Trek Online, and pondering whether we’ve reached an endgame plateau.

Later on, our science adviser Dr Hurt is here with another report from the Astrometrics Lab.

Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Great work guys. A great episode!

As for the the CQ i have to go with “Tomato Soup. Hot, Plain, Tomato soup!” even if they dont get it right. 🙂

For dessert though go for Purple Mangosteen, Lychee’s and Mango ice cream~!

I been finding the game a bit slow and I to would like to see more episodes drop, but i think they are working on the Dominion faction right now. I know you talked about this but expansion 4 well be coming out after 2 years since TOS expansion and we know that things coming out in summer is better for the game as most have more time just to holidays.

thanks again for a great show

I see the issue with replicators is that the rules on what and what can’t be made with them are so nebulous and change dramatically depending on the plot-of-the-week; e.g., “Oh, we can replicate any medicine that we need!” “EXCEPT for this ONE drug made from some unreplicatable plant that only grows on the one planet that we happen to be visiting right now, Captain”. And then Voyager, stranded in the Delta Quadrant as it is, can replicate all the random food and clothing and jukeboxes they want, but they CAN’T replicate shuttle parts (that aren’t for the Delta Flyer) or photon torpedoes because ‘reasons’? Puh-leeez.

But on the other hand it doesn’t sound too difficult to come up with some concrete rules on what replicators can and can’t make. Blah blah, technobabble, ‘replicators can’t do complex fragile molecular structures’ or something like that. Would it have been SO hard if the Voyager folks had instead written something like “Oh, we could probably make new torpedo parts, except we need X, Y, and Z unreplicatable volatile materials”? Which they then occasionally come across in an episode from mining or trading with alien-of-the-week people, alongside the usual story dilemmas. (Harry Kim is prospecting for unobtanium on some moon, when he falls down a crevasse!) And ‘Warlord Janeway’ still gets to be as pew pew happy as she wants. 😀

Loved the episode, always fun as well to hear from my favorite Techno Astrophysicist Dr Hurt.

I never understood the no alcohol thing.

As for Sompek, personally i prefer the time/reward on the every 3 days missions. If i had understood that the weapon was bind on character from the start, i would not have bothered at all.

Amazing episode. SO my favorite item i would have LOVED to see replicated would be… Klingon Forehead Ridges. Seriously, that’s how they got their head ridges. Imagine, a massive replicator with klingons coming out head first like it was a printer. Making those old school Scroll Paper printer noises too as they’re replicated. Hey is the Discovery Writers reading this?

As for Sean’s Community Question I picked up CBS ALl Access originally for Star Trek but then Young Sheldon trailer debuted and now it’s for that aswell. However the main reason for doing this was to support Priority One Podcast.
