Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

    Great ep. As usual.

I share the concerns about Harry Mudd, and Sarek, and whatever else they have planned to connect the show to what has boldly gone before.

I worry that things like Mudd and Sarek mean that the makers don’t have faith in their own stories that they have to put stunts like this in there. You don’t have to worry about the story if you believe that people will just tune in to see what you have done with a classic 60s character.

Nothing wrong with a few “kisses with history”, to give people a good dose of the member berries (Michael Dorn in Star Trek VI, or deForest Kelly in Farpoint) but not central characters please.

TV standards have never been higher, and Trek is going to have to work hard to cut through the quantity and quality of stuff out there if it’s be the event television that we all want it to be.

Let’s hope that this is just the PR machine doing their thing to grab some column inches and that there’s a cargo hold full of stories, surprises and really compelling characters so that this time next year the world is full of brand new trek-fans

Wait… what? The Doug Drexler and Thomas The Cat one was real? For real? I just looked at it and gave it a miss because I though you guys were doing an April fools thing again. We never do it here in Australia and seems like a waste of time to me. ALSO I don’t know if you guys know but the time you do it’s the 2nd of April in the rest of the world.
