Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Hi guys, Good show guys once again, for the STO, for Capt Dax coming in to the game makes sense because at the start of the game you see the Vesta class Starship. So it makes sense, and a another personal spoiler for the game. I think STO with be going to the Gamma Quadrant next year sometime.

Agreed, I prefer the latest and greatest, not a continues call-back to days gone by. Star Trek is about the future, not about future’s past. 😉

I’m a big Mass Effect fan, and I always hoped the new Next-Next Generation Trek would be something like Mass Effect; showcasing new tech that inspires ‘the next’ generation of technology like mobile phones and tablets (PADDS) once were (wearable holograms? yes please. Utility belt wearable 3D-printer? HOh heck yes).

I’ll watch Discovery and I’ll just be amazed – which can be either in a good or a bad way.
The fear I share with my fellow Trekkies is ofcourse if Discovery fizzles, Star Trek will fade away for the next 20 years untill the obligatory future reboot.

I’ve got to have faith of the heart and hope for the best.

    Good show P1.

Bryan Fuller decision requires lot of attention from what we know:

    1. He decided we need another Prequel.. we all know that Enterprise was doing this so well so it most be a good decision.

    2. Bryan Fuller said he would drop everything to do a Star Trek series, this is now debunked since he had to much on his plate to be a showrunner on Discovery. So I wonder how much heart he had to the project.

    My thoughts:
People are to much focused on getting back to the TOS era. It might have been good in the 60s, but it looks like crap in today’s standard, this is just nostalgia and sentimental thinking of old people (you heard me).

We need to move forward with Star Trek, not move back.
We have just moved back with Star Trek since Voyager ended.

I don’t know what you think guys, but I am going to roll my eyes if the Discovery series will start discovering things we already discovered in the other series. (Transporters are scary, lets take a shuttle for 6 hours instead).

Great Podcast as usual guys 🙂
