Imagine a one shot for ST:ID

Admiral Marcus is meeting with other admirals discussing why Kirk is the captain of Starfleet’s flagship.

After giving the official reasons to the council he takes a Section 31 person (not identified as such) and says that young James Kirk is easy to manipulate. The assistant responds why they trust there most powerful ship with him and Marcus says that it’s no longer the most powerful (da da da dum….)

Marvel One-Shots are short films that expand upon the continuing story.

For instance, in the One shot, ‘All Hail the King’, we find out there exists a Mandarin who is unhappy that Trevor Slattery has taken his name.

That said, they have not done one since Iron Man 3.
