  • What does looking at racing cars and lamborghinis from the 70’s means for the feel of Star Trek Discovery? How might this impact the overall aesthetics of the show?
  • Will you be going for the new Tier 6 Constitution Class in Star Trek Online? Have you already got one? What do you think of the ship and the promotion?

I’m going to have to agree with TrekYards that the Kelvin Timeline changed before the Narada’s attack since the Kelvin itself was already diverged from the original TOS era (32 years before TOS start, basically how old Kirk was at the start of TOS. Ps James T. Kirk was supposed to have been born in Iowa on Earth as well, not a starship). The Kelvin was set to be a humongous 655m but was reduced to a still large 457m. For comparison the original Constitution was 289m, the Excelsior is 466m, the Ambassdor is 524m, Galaxy-class is 641m and the Sovereign is 685m and finally the Kelvin-timeline Constitution is anywhere between 600-1200m

I tried to get the ship for my rommie, but only to a small extent, it was never a big deal. Personally im still upset with how they handled the kelvin faction ships.

T6 Connie… Not really interested, but I can imagine people get really really upset about it being a gamble or impossible pay wall.
Again Cryptic produce wonderful art and story. But game mechanic and management… They either need to fire someone or hire more people, because recent stream of decisions are disturbing to say the least.
Also mirror grind without ability to choose previous reward for new AOY toon:

    MAJOR ANNOYANCE…..

Very Exclusive Connie – Sad, very sad
Super Exclusive Nagus – Extremely questionable practice
Impossible Exclusive Event Rewards – If its something cosmetic, it wouldn’t be this bad, but actual, functional equipments, ships with their traits and special “set” consoles, also unique doff???? Despite numerous reasonable requests.

I thought the management finally start changing for the better. Now I start to question my investment…

Those bloopers were probably the best ever, that makes the final edit that much more enjoyable.

So at one point and time I heard of a Star Trek Series that was supposed to happen call Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy. I was not overly thrilled with the thought of having a grounded series but then again I did really enjoy DS9 and that was close to that besides the fact the station being in space.
As for the new ship, nope I am not interested in a T6 Constitution Class. After the Kelvin time line release of the Vengeance Class Intel Dreadnought
why would I want to go to anything ells? I think that if you are hard core about the game that this might be a must but I would not waist a ship slot for this unless it was geared better than then Vengeance.

i own the new t6 connie and i have a few different thoughts:

A: as far as the actual ship itself, it is pretty epic. it flies like an escort, and feels almost overpowered. it is a really fun ship to play.

B: as far as the method of acquiring the ship, i feel like cryptic has crossed a line and now only cares about money.

before i expand on that let me say that i did not gamble to get the ship. i bought and sold R&D packs until I had enough EC to buy it from someone. so anyone who is actually gambling to get this ship is crazy IMO.

but like i said before i feel like cryptic has crossed a line and now only cares about money. this is the point where someone says “what do you think this is, a charity? they have to make money to keep the lights on!”, and that is a strawman fallacy.

no one is saying they should have given the ship away for free. they would have still made plenty of money selling this ship in the game store. it has been the number 1 ship requested since launch, and would probably have set an all time record in sales for the cstore.

putting this ship of all ships in a gambling box on the 50th anniversary of Trek feels dirty. i hate to say it but even as someone who has this ship it makes me not want to play this game, and that is really sad.

    so anyone
