Elio is a Northern New Jersey Cuban-American and graduate of Kean University, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance in 2011. He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

Great show, loved all the interviews! Totally envious how you got to meet the whole art team *waves Tacofangs is #1 giant foam finger*

I am only sad about one thing and that is I cannot play the console version ever. First person perspective games make me nauseated and I really don’t like running to the bathroom to heave every 10 minutes or so. But I do know that in general it was a good decision for console players. I know we cannot game with the console players, but I don’t think I’ve heard anyone ask if the console players can share Cryptic’s unified chat system or not. Have we heard anything on that front?

Cautiously optimistic as well. “My” Trek will always be the TNG/DS9/Voy era, but I still enjoyed (re)watching TOS and ENT, as well, so I know I’ll enjoy the new series.
My trepidation comes from the new Trek becoming too much of a ‘flagship’ show making the The Powers That Be extremely risk-averse and turning the new Trek ‘bland’ trying (and failing) to attract a larger (broader?) audience.

But I found out that re-watching Trek series makes me appreciate them more (like fine wine) so I’ll prob need a decade and numerous rewatches of the new series for a final verdict.
