Hey guys! There are several things I like about the AOY Expansion. #1: The new ships! I picked up the Temporal Special Agent Pack, and I’ve already tried a few of the new ships out. With the bridge layouts, stats new temporal skills, the new temporal ships do not disappoint! I highly recommend everyone try them out. The only thing that disappointed me was the short supply of new content..but I’ll wait for more to come.

Just one thing for the promenade. The Canadian mint, just 2 hours from where I live, has commissioned a silver coin collection in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. Check it out at mint.ca

    Great show as always!

my favorite part of agents of yesterday has to be the new missions. every one of the TOS missions feels right and the effects are spot on. the new missions that were added to the Future Proof arc are also great. my favorite part of STO has always been the story and this new expansion has reminded me of the days when the game was still new to me and I was excited to see how the story would unfold.

My favorite part of AOY is that the Klingon War arc has now been mostly voice overed now. That sure saves me time in having to read the lines, and screwing it up while recording. ? One thing that kinda messes it up for me is that us as player’s can’t go back to the 23rd century after making it past level 10, or by completing “The Battle of Caleb IV” mission. That kinda ruined my immersion on that, but overall, good content so far. Love the show, keep up the great work!

I like the TOS episodes, and I *love* Galorndon Core from “The Core Of The Matter” episode. It’s weird, but the 1960s scifi design has a certain appeal. Kudos to the designers to translate that to the map. I wandered around before actually starting it just admiring everything, checking out the little details and just bask in the glow of ‘ancient Romulus’.

I’m really enjoying the Agents of Yesterday expansion overall, and I do hope we somehow can revisit 23rd centurty era locations (ESD). The level of detail is very impressive, the new Kelvin bridges wonderful.
This is STO at its best!

Thanks for the show P1, listening to you while leveling my toon 🙂

I don’t think there is much for me to add. Agents of Yesterday is great, but the 23rd Century portion was too short. Especially since I bought the pack to get all the ships and now I feel forced to fly around the 25th Century in my 23rd Century ships just to get the most out of the money I spent.

Given the inherent time travel nature, one thing the developers could have done would have been to keep us in the 23rd Century for a while longer while having Daniels bring us to select episodes out-of-order from the other arcs. This would have allowed them to benefit from a fair amount of reuse while giving us a new spin on things. They also could have expanded on old arcs. For example, what if we had a new Iconian War mission where we saved some of the Preservers before they were killed?

As far as Sulu is concerned, he has been canonicaly gay to me since George Takei came out. I am currently watching TOS, and it fits fine so far. As for tolerance, Kirks Enterprise is not quite there; you can be black, gay or Russian all you want, but if you’re a woman or a Vulcan, things won’t be quite as easy for you. (Yes, I know Takei is an actor, and Sulu a character, but still…)

Wow, thank you so much for replaying one of my favorite P1 moments: the Mirror Zefram Cochrane Shotgun commercial. To this day, I refer to the weapon out loud in the deep commercial voice “Mirror…Zefram…Cochrane…Shotgun.”
And for the community question, I am liking the expansion so far, but I don’t really like how casually my character was shrugging off frequent full-on spear impalement during the tutorial. Spear impalement = cool, but it should really hurt, you know?

The worst part of that was just running down the path while ignoring a 10′ sticking out of your shoulder. I mean, i know im a bada** but seriously people.

So, now that “Renegades” has lost the “Star Trek”, how cool would it be to bring Axanar into *that* universe?
