New Episode is nice, the part where you are invisible to the Iconian Masters is nice.

The one thing that troubles me is the way they are going help the krenim to help building a war ship that will probably destroy the Iconians erase them from time, Normally they Starfleet would never allow that ( primederective ) even the KDF would have there doubt about such a ship. I find it a dangerous approach !!! And get going I love the show….

Loved the interview with Adam, thanks for that!

I loved the new episode. I thought Aaron did a wonderful job with his lines, they sounded very real and had emotion. “Kiss the staff” cracked me up. Also, if you replay it, deliberately fail to hide inside the asteroid and he’ll chastise you. It’s totally worth it.

The mission itself was fun and straightforward. The gun is cool but I do wish that it had the same visuals as the chroniton beam space weapons. They are a unique rainbow beam, one of my favorite weapon visuals in the game.

@kenna, I didn’t mean last week that it was funny YOU specifically got sent to the incinerator. I just meant it was funny to see you guys incorporate a community running gag about just what does happen to all those tens of thousands of doffs (my fleet refers to it as “sending doffs to the wood chipper”) we donate to the fleet projects.

As for the new cryptic forums, my biggest problem is the nested design. Also the lack (that i can find) of a search function, or “updated recently” functions.

I like the new rewards they are doing for new fe’s, not too thrilled with the wait for them, but the new reward types are nice.

Great episode everyone. Loving the the new videos too.

P.S. as for the queue’s, my doing the higher difficulties are all bout the crafting commodity for better upgrade kits.

great show guys! Got to say this this team is the Team up- to beam up!

ANYWAY FOR THOSE WHO SAY GPL IS POINTLESS, Never had a ferengi D’kora with the fenergi set on it!

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?! Well I am glad you asked! Once ever 20 hours you can go to sector space and call in some “friends in high places” its a doff mission that DOES NOT use a slot and it cost 500 GPL. Even though its not worth it on all your toons its nice on a main.

Who doesnt like more contraband missions? Here is hoping that the new event ship can use it too!

Please keep up the good work,

    Sanok from down under!

A few additional uses for Latinum:
Purchase Commodities for Latinum doff missions (Seismic Stabilizers, Terraformers, Industrial Energy Cells, and more, all of which are expensive normally and used for fleet projects)
Purchase temporary holograms for your ships and your captain
“Special Deal on Entertainment Provisions” which on a crit not only gives you a LOT of provisions but also a Vulcan or Orion Entertainment Hologram Doff, even up to purple quality.
Purchase the Club outfit and club dance emote
Sunglasses from the Risa Summer Event

And the Devs have said they want to put the space ship emotes into the latinum store in the future.

I have to say I wasn’t a fan of the newest FE. All of my traits and resources are geared expressly for space combat to the point my capt and boffs are still in mk12 blue ground gear. This makes the Iconians challenging even on normal. There was a lot of ground combat in this FE and not a lot of space combat. This made the mission feel exceedingly long. Not the devs fault and I did enjoy the story. I just personally wish there was more space combat than ground combat. I’m sure there are those out there who feel the opposite but that’s just me.

This FE was so good, it made me just use the lifetime subscription sale.

(Ok, there might have been more factors involved, but all of the above is true.)
    Damm Starfleet Ferengis! 😀

My heart has always been longing for a LS, but I have been struggling to rationalize it in front of my brain 😀 .

(If anyone wonders – here is how I did it:

    1) P1P! … listening to all the Dev interviews made me realize that Cryptic deserves a little money for all their efforts.

    2) the math: (this is based on a contributing spirit)

    – I have been playing since F2P launch = 77 months
    – 77 * 15€ (what would have been the monthly subscription rate way back) = 1155€
    – what I have spent so far in those 77 months: ~ 100€ total.
    = ~1,30€ per month.
    Not much, huh?!
Now after buying the LS …. blahblahmath …
    = ~3,60€ per month

    3) Kids – spoiler alert!
    – Alcohol
    😀

P.S.: PSSHHH! … please don’t tell my brain!

      P.P.P.S.:
Just to be clear again – I didnt’t buy the LS because I instantly gain so much
(I have previously bought an intricately timed 1-month-subscription all tailored to all my 50+ chars getting their slot upgrades etc.)

No, I have just lately enjoyed this game so much that I got into a contributing spirit (and boy, was I economically conservative before :D)

      So, Cryptic!:

      1) Allthough were are not living in a Perfect World yet (pun intended), thank you for improving the game ALOT since F2P launch!

      2) Cryptic, thank all those brave (fan-based, underfunded) media productions like P1P for giving YOU the opportunity to open my eyes to how much passion and work you put into the game and to understand some design decisions!

And by media productions I mostly mean P1P and by Cryptic I mostly mean Al Rivera.

So I have to say that this may have been one of the episodes that I sat through ALL of the dialog for. I always loved the Character of Nog on DS9. Furthermore the Krenim story arc from Voyager “Year of Hell” was one of my favorite and with the mention of Annorax and his Temporal Ship I can wait for it to show up in game. Also I am a big fan of Kurtwood Smith “The actor who played Annorax” and would love to see STO bring him in for voice over work. Side note, while out of temporal phase didn’t you just want to moon the Iconians?

  15. smallyoda on 2015-06-22

I was really impressed with the new FE. Not only do we get to hear the voice of Nog in Star Trek Online, but we also get to hear more about the Krenim. There were several references to Year of Hell, one of my favorite Voyager episodes. I was hooked the moment the Kyana system was mentioned along with the subsequent references to Annorax and his time ship. Perhaps this is a hint to a Krenim lock box with the ship inside being the time ship and the lobo ship being a Krenim warship

    • smallyoda on 2015-06-22

I actually meant to say lobi and not lobo but the auto correct changed it

  16. TobiasLTF on 2015-06-22

Absolutely loved the new featured episode. These STO writers are getting better every FE. The rewards are OK I guess, however at this time we only have the first reward. I will continue playing the new FE to get all the rewards and try them out. As always, I will continue to enjoy the Spec point reward to make progress in the trees without having to grind as much. And +1 to Shemrockski’s comments about the respecting of other people’s ideals of fun. I’d much rather have a fun time playing STO with everyone and not have an ever growing ignore list of people who can’t give me the same respect I give everyone else.

    • Jayce on 2015-06-22

Hah! I do like that in STO I have a smaller ignore list than in some other games I’ve played at least. Mostly spammers in there actually!

  17. Shemrockski on 2015-06-22

LOVE the new FE and find the new doff to be a great new creative addition although not EPIC still FUN. I agree whole heartedly with Kam and Kennas remarks in this weeks episode about play styles, FUN and RESPECT. I however do also feel this is not being practiced by certain individuals who are generally focused on D.P.S. that they don’t respect others who don’t do what they do or say is best, and over all have a rather FACETIOUS attitude towards those who have FUN without D.P.S. obsession. Thereby betraying any profession of RESPECT or tolerance toward said people. THOSE people need to take a hike. Respecting preferences is what is not being done from certain D.P.S. chasers,NOT all,SOME. Its not chasing D.P.S. that makes someone an elitist its their attitude toward those that aren’t, that does. Keep up the good work.
