Greetings, Admirals! You’re listening to Episode 194 of Priority One Podcast, the premier Star Trek Online podcast! This episode was recorded in part on Thursday, October 16th 2014 and made available for download on Monday, October 20th 2014 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!

For starters, we Trek Out the Fall edition of Star Trek Magazine’s coverage of Delta Rising expansion. With Delta Rising live on Tribble, we’re going to take the opportunity to actually play the game for the next few weeks. Which is fine, because this gives us an opportunity to produce all the content from our trip to Cryptic Studios! In this episode, we interview QA Lead Phil “Farktoid” Farkaly followed by an interview with Adam Flores (Environment Artist), Chris Dods (Content Designer) and Matt Miller (Content Designer) on PVE, STFs, and Patrols, and Queues. No feedback this week but, we’ll keep hailing frequencies open for this week’s show and review your incoming messages next week!

In case you missed it, we’ve already published our first interview featuring System Designer, Jeremy “BorticusCryptic” Randall from Priority One Podcast’s on-site visit to Cryptic Studios in October 2014. Be sure to subscribe to the premier Star Trek Online podcast and don’t miss a single post!

He has performed in internationally renowned performance halls such as Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic, as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, and in Beijing, China as a representative for Kean University. Since 2012, he has had the wonderful opportunity to Executive Produce Priority One – the premiere Star Trek Online podcast. Whether recruiting, managing the global team of talented volunteers, arranging interviews with special guests, editing, web-development, finding sponsors, managing crowd funding, or writing content for the podcast, Elio has a hand in it all. A long-time Trekkie, Elio has been watching the series since he was a child and sneaking in late night, back-to-back, episodes of TNG reruns. He finally embraced the Trekdom in college and spent many hours catching up on the entire multiverse…. instead of studying.

A bit off topic for this podcast (perhaps, I haven’t listened to the most recent one yet), but you seem to have Cryptic’s ear so here it goes:

Cryptic seems to be making some original trek stuff, such as new ships, uniforms, rank insignia and so on. What are the odds that we’ll get STO Star Trek Starships (like the cannon ST Starships that are coming out now), or custom combadges and STO rank insignia that cosplayers can wear? (or how about those nifty silver belt buckles on the Odyssey uniform?)

I don’t buy zen any more (I just use what comes with my lifetime sub), but real life merchandize would tantalize me to spend money for STO stuff.

    Thoughts?

Thanks to all the cryptic devs for coming. Poor Cookie!

Too many other things to do in a month to read STM.

Fun episode with the devs, thanks.
